Bargain at £18

I really don't understand why you guys constantly feel the need to take the ****/ give kwerk **** about his firearms. I know the whole "lolkwerk" thing is amusing because a lot of his threads are just daft but I don't see why he gets crap for this. Yes he was what many of us would consider a lot of guns but then again 99.9% of us don't own guns or see the need for them because of the country we live in. Having used various guns in Germany & Africa I can tell you that is amazing how different two similar looking guns can be & differently two guns of the same model can have completely different configurations.

As other people have said, firearms are "pretty damn awesome." Given the chance I would like to own more then my 2 air rifles & 2 air pistols but unfortunately I don't have the time. We;ve gone past the time where firearms were used purely for killing and/or self defense. Shooting in general is a major sport all over the world & the take that Kwerk does it to such a sporting standard it would appear that he is well experienced and not the typical 'MERICUUUR type that many of you think he is.

Give it a rest guys.

Well done Kwerk for having so much patience.

But we had a goverment which pandered to stupid knee jerk public opinion.
What was wrong with one of the pro gun campaigners ideas.

Guns only allowed in a secure range, had to be locked in a vault at the gun range and never left the gun range.

What on earth is wrong with that. But oh no, just ban the lot :( to a point our sports men and women have to go abroad to practice.

It's not even that they need to be left at the gun range, there are plenty of countries in Europe that allow you to have firearms at home (as long as they are in a secure location) & the gun crime rates are very low.

Couldn't agree more, quit picking on kwerk guys.

If I could I'd own a range of guns but being British that's just tricky... although firearms aren't actually banned just tightly licensed. I'll just have to settle for a collection of demented swords and blades. :P

Honestly just thinking about the firearms I'd want to own either for their function or aesthetics, I mean you want a range of ammo types, 22s, NATO, 12 gauge etc and maybe a vintage; I would love a Swiss K31.

Anyway rambling now. :P

Kwerk, out of curiosity, how often do you get ricochets when shooting at metal targets?

For anyone who doesn't know, this is how big a .50 cal round is (far left)

For reference, the 5.56 NATO round is what the M16 uses (i use that as an example because most people will know it from games & films) which stands at ~6cm tall.

New phone and a case, my android phone was starting to annoy me so decided it was time for a change! had it for about a week now, so far so good and Apple gave me £70 back as an apology because the first one they sent had dust or something under the screen. Very good of them.

I love guns. I would love to be legally allowed to have guns. Not carry them, just collect them.

You should look at deactivated guns. You can legally own one without any licencing and the earlier ones are sometimes deactivated so that the piece can still be dry fired, field stripped and more besides, I think.

Not the best time to buy a 4S really, with the new iPhone right around the corner!

Edit: damn you! :p

Though it's more like the next few weeks, not months.

To be fair on kwerk, guns are pretty damn awesome, and I would probably buy a tonne of them if I could.

Exactly. They are like little sports cars you can hold in your hand. They are simply fascinating/fun machines.

If you could buy sports cars for $500-1000 each how many would you have? Not only current ones but also replicas or originals of all of the ones through out time. A whole bunch probably.

Some people like cars/bikes, some people like guns.

No, I mean I would like to be able to take them to a range as well and use them.

I've used rifles and handguns professionally, I shoot clays and the odd pheasant etc now. I think they are pretty interesting. I don't think I would collect them if it was legal here, it would seem a bit pointless, unless you shoot for hunting or competitively. Competitive shooting always strikes me as something its more interesting to do than watch.

The only thing that surprises me is that they actually belong to Kwerk as the sort of threads being posted make the poster look like they are still of school age (not intending to be disrespectful to people of school age who are mature, but in this case its the sort of thing you'd caricature into a bad classroom).

Why did you go for a 4S now when Apple are going to announce the 5 in the next few months?

I thought about waiting to see what the new one is like, but I wanted to change phones. I'm not too bothered really, if the new one is amazing I can always recycle the 4S and get it. Plus the 4S has only cost about £230 in total.

I got £200 for my galaxy nexus, and then the unexpected £70 back from Apple.

I'm happy with it :)
