Guild Wars 2

Just reached level 30, still having fun, though being a clothy hurts a lot at times, got completion on the last of the starter areas, so feelin pretty pleased with myself..

I can honestly say I never go looking for mmo exploits and have never used one in any game. I think maybe I'm alone in wanting to take my time :)

Trust me you aren't, I think they are the vocal minorty. I reached 30 last night (but I have been playing since 5am Saturday, so that seems pretty reasonable! Going to try a new character tonight as most of my friends seemed to be ranged characters.

Crafting - have I read correctly that cooking/chef is counted as one of your two crafting skills? If so, bah.

I've somehow managed to move my radar to the top right of the screen and it feels wrong, anyone know how to move it back to bottom right ?

I really really want to play this! roll on payday!

Think it will run well on a gtx 460? aslong as i'm getting 50+fps on decentish settings i'm happy

I'm on a 460 and with the latest beta drivers I get a nice 40+, not noticed it dropping yet. I'm a human and just did a farm quest where a load of us defended against bandits setting fire to the bails of hay and you also feed cows, etc.

Didn't notice and significant drop and I'm running at 1920x1200 on best looking settings.

Just cos thats the way WoW did it. Other MMOs have it as a full fleshed out craft.

Couldn't give a monkeys if WoW did it, never played it, although I know how it worked there. Cooking to me always seems to be a pretty much essential skill at high level raiding as the buffs are never available elsewhere and stack with others. I guess I'll just need to create a chef/artificer at some point.

Level 80.
Level 77

Just doing what you like and not worrying about leveling for me :P I just enjoy exploring/crafting/making gold and getting better gear, depends for different people though.

I think there are plenty of stuff u can craft and explore once you hit level 80?

Also u got pvp and WvW to have a go on hehe :)

i imagine it will take 200hours to reach level 80 so 200hours of game time for a £35 game is quite amazing if u ask me?

Well the game hasn't been out that long and people are 80 already, so it's going to be less.

The only people that have reached 80 have done it either through the exploit or some other mechanism (the guy that did it first had his whole guild giving him crafting materials then he did it with crafting) The average user will easily get 150-200 hours before 80 I would have thought.

Enjoying it so far. A little different to how some things work than other mmo's I've played but that's a good thing. I just want my bow as my hatchets styles all seem to be aoe and I just got my arse handed to me by a load of drakes :D
