Hi all,

I received an email from overclockers with the SSD at £43.99 (advertised along the top here :)) but i have the ASUS P5K Pro mother board. On looking at the specs for this i see its only a SATA connector not SATA 2 (unless i've read it wrong) would i still be able to use this? If yes will the slower speed cripple the drive or would it still be faster than my 7200rpm drive?

Thanks for your help

Your board is SATA 2 mate and that SSD would work a treat. System will boot faster, open programs faster and generally feel much more responsive.

Excellent :) i'll get one ordered. Do i need to get anything else with this or will it plug straight into my pc / case nps?

The Vertex 2E you are looking at is 2.5" so you may need to purchase one of these or just use some sticky back velcro tape to mount it inside your case. They can simply be tucked out of sight without any mounting at all mind.
