My first self build, Budget:1800

I think I will stick with AMD , my friend has an AMD card and seems to be doing okay with it regarding running games as far as I know.
I am to nervous about going near Nvidia.

There is always the possibility of having problems with Gpu`s regardless of wether it`s Nvidia or AMD. I just buy the best card i can afford for an alround performance. It will be a while before i need to upgrade. I don`t play online games and play most of my games(SP) on high settings.

I want to play all my games regardless if they are single player or multiplayer on high settings myself.
I have't gotten to play any current gen PC games yet.

No more ram jokes, damn that's an awful shame can they atleast name it another animal.
Dude I need some more chickens in my computer!
It's just doesn't sound as good as ram *sigh*

Yes gaming and video editing, some 3D rendering. (noting major regarding the 3D editing so no need to specialize the build to much , the i7 will cover it)
Windows 8 ready.
the more usb 3.0 ports the merrier
Cpu wattage cut in half.
built in wifi and interaction with tablets.

This board has what I want , its managed to sell itself to me.
The only problem is someone said to me that if I have a problem with Asus.
sending stuff back for a repair or replacement is a nightmare

No point installing both. 32 bit applications will work fine on a 64 bit OS. Retail comes in a nice shiny box and allows 3 activations. OEM only allows 1 activation, but this can be circumvented during activation (usually by calling MS up in the activation process, simple enough). ;)

there is another way................................ ;)
