Alienware m18x or m17x r4?

Had an R4 in my basket today (3d screen and 675gtx) at a little over 1K, but when push came to shove decided I didn't really want it to spend that much and I need the portability. I'll think I'll just get the r2 revision of the M14x.

It was kinda hard to explain - if you try with rivatuner first you will know if you see it - it was kinda like the whole screen moving up 1cm and back down again, some people are affected by it, others not, its the actual overclocking program that seem to do it rather than actually overclocking.

Max temp I get is about 75C.

Haha, I had both my sisters and my gf helping yesterday and no R4's came up!!
 
Little tip, when you see any come up, just chuck it in basket and look at the spec after - thats how you get them - by the time you take the read the spec, even a flirt over you have wasted 3 or 4 seconds.
 
Oh well I caved and my wife blackmailed me with her choice of the name of our next child (due january) and ordered:

I'm happy :)

M17x r3 goes back Wednesday for a full refund.

Plumbed for a new one, with what mark said about them being like rocking horse crap on the outlet and work being quite strict on Internet access the chances of getting one were quite slim.

Roll on the 14th :)
