Guild Wars 2

Ah cool, sorry for rushing you mate, thanks I will message Dist in game tonight after work. Today has been such a long day, can't wait to get home and play ha.

Cool I should be on from about 6pm, we have our daily WvWvW run at 19:30, which while for now still being totaly disorganised it's a laugh.

with the WvWvW stuff, can any level player join in, or would a lowby like me get whooped? If I can (and I'm home) I might just try and join in on that one.

I think my main complaint with the game is the camera, in some caves and stuff it zooms in ridiculously far (same with trees, making it really flipping hard to see what you're doing.

Any level can join, just get in the middle of the Zerg, as a guild we like to get all levels in adds a bit, but the we also try go off and do our own thing for bits of it, like getting camps, points and even a small keep or two.

I do like the "acting" done in the static cut scenes. It is so terrible, as is a lot of the dialogue, it's a pleasure to view them :D

Well if I get home from month end madness in time, I'll jump on mumble, say hi, and try to join in.

What drivers are AMD users using for this game please?

Im getting strange slow downs when turning sometimes, and im not getting much above 65 FPS with Vsync turned off, not sure if i should be getting more FPS with vsync off?

Sometimes the frames drop to 50 and the slow down is very noticeable, not sure if my current 12.8 cats are at fault, or something in the video options menu on the game.

this is so frustrating. I still can't log in, keeps saying the email address I entered was not found, and support haven't got back to me :(

And no I haven't been doing any of the exploits, never have in any game and never will.

Sod it' I'll go mow the lawn. Thanks ArenaNet for making me do mundane tasks.

If you received an email previously saying your email address in GW2 has been changed then currently you are stuffed the account is now with someone else. You just need to wait till their support get round to you. You could try tweeting to the Guild Wars 2 twitter account with your username, sometimes galvanises them. Luckily this issue now can't happen but my goodness what a part of their system to fail on release (the email authentication)

I'm struggling to find somewhere to level at the moment. I'm level 10, and don't have any hearts I can go towards to level up with, as the ones I haven't done are all too high level. Grinding certainly doesn't work.

WvW is hella fun and pretty quick to level up in.

Haha, yeah it's so poor it's funny, but funny in a good way (like the Flash Gordon movie). :D

My main issue is still with the camera and mouse usage, and would hope to see in the future:

1. Mouselook "crosshair" mode - with the option to toggle on and off. Ground cast spells cast where you look. Mode disabled in menus (so you can use right click on items and stuff).

2. The ability to bind left click to an action/skill - I hardly ever use it outside of menus otherwise. Being able to bind right click to an action/skill would be nice too, especially if mouselook is toggled on by default.

3. The ability to bind mousescroll up and down for actions/skills - examples, change weapon, select previous/next target, etc.

If you can't find things to do you certainly doing something wrong every place I have being I always ended up 2/3 levels above what was required.

There is around roughly 30 % more to do that's required for each level.

I'm now level 33 and still not completed the 26/28 area.

Thanks for the reply buddy.

Still torn between what profession to be!

Is there a class which is very common/least common, or any noticeably OP classes?

I've been reading and watching gameplay videos and still can't decide, as I can't help but compare them to WoW classes, such as the ranger > hunter. Which is slightly offputting!

#gw2noobproblems :p

Thief in PvP with glass-cannon built is incredible. I have not myself played it but on nearly all of the profession's I have played in PvP, they have wrecked me. Meele and Ranged alike.

You could bind the scroll wheel to keys in Windows (most mouse software lets you bind it for specific applications, so it won't mess up mousewheel behaviour outside GW2).

E.g. bind MWheelup = keypad9; bind MWheeldown = keypad6, then bind those to skills in-game.

A little clunky but might help with this.

Well if you can get passed the utter rubbish spoken about us on here, we still take people from here (yeah I'm a glutton for punishment :p)

Email [email protected], with a user name and email address you would like to use on our site, www.gw-mmo.co.uk or www.mmo-guild.co.uk, we will set up your account manually for you. then all you need to do is post a into, and email a officer in game for a email.

One thing I can assure you of there is never any drama in game with the guild, which makes all the hollhau on here a bit funny but mostly just wearing!

Email sent.
