Not yet,they're all pretty much the same and with low res screens. well I dont class 1366x768 as high res, but they all do
The only real difference I've seen so far is the Asus RT has opted for terra 3 quad rather than dual.

I so hope someone comes out with something better, I've been very disappointed with the specs so far, well just the screens really.

I'll possibly make a thread in a bit.

I'd be interested in a W8 Tablet thread, as the only one I've seen any specs on is the MS Surface.

Yeah that's the probably they all look nice, they're just lacking the 1080p which I consider the minimum needed.

I can see why they might not want full HD screens though. 'Normal' (i.e. not Metro) Windows apps on a 10" screen at 1920x1080 resolution would be unusably small.

the smasung pro has a 1900x1280 11.6" but that's an i5

The metro apps will scale, yes, but the desktop and any apps that run on it won't. They will run at the native res and could make buttons and things far too small to use.

It's impossible to use remote desktop on my phone at the native resolution, for example. The buttons are far to small to jab with a finger.

That's not an issue for RT tablets. As ATM there's only one desktop app.

If I wanted an RT tablet, I'd just buy Android.

They key point to W8 tablets to me is the ability to flop out the keyboard and use it as a laptop, so I'm only interested in the Pros.

TBH I can't really see HTC or Nokia coming out with anything much better than this, given the specs, this is pretty much the best you can get currently and combined with a great design and materials used it makes it even nicer!

HTC will probably surpass it in terms of design/looks and build & perceived quality, perhaps nokia will as well (although some of their phones are a bit "marmite", you either love it or hate it). But for hardware I think it will be more or less the same especially with HTC's windows phone, except it will be using the IPS display from the X/XL and no SD slot and nokia might lag behind a bit with the CPU/GPU etc. Battery wise, I can't see HTC and nokia using as big of a battery for their devices. The one area, which nokia could/will surpass in is the camera.

all off them have docking keyboards.
if you want x86 there's just one so far at 1080p and that's an i5

A W8 tablet to me is going to be a replacement to a laptop using a lot of desktop apps.

On something with a fully scaling UI though (Android, Windows phone, iOS) I agree all ~10" devices should have 1080p screens from now on. A nice crystal clear UI and then full on HD video too. It does mean SD cards are a requirement though.

If Nokia does indeed manage to get some PureView loving into a Windows Phone, and the fact they have made some of the best working Apps already for Windows, im not sure who would look at this.
I do still think this is a very VERY nice design, love that bit of grill on the back.

WAY nicer looking for sure! Personally would have preferred a darker tone to the sides and back though. Overall I still prefer the looks/design of the one X, one S and nexus one though and the MAO one S will probably feel better to touch/hold still.

ignore android for once and get this phone if you like it try something different
this phone or htc wp8 would be my second choice nokia my first choice

But many of us including me like how android handles many things, I love the overall UI and expereince with stock JB, and using a WP7.5 it just never felt right to me personally. The days of changing the look of android has ended for me and I just keep it stock with a few tweaks. I like the look of the start screen in wp but its a bit to messy and crowded, I can't have a lot of negative space were I want it as AFAIK ever row has to be used before moving on to the next row. Its just the little things that are really keeping me from switching over which android just gets right, like how it handles multi-tasking, once you use a phone with a multi-tasking key you just can't ever go back.

But boy, is this phone beautiful, SD card, Super AMOLED HD screen, bigger battery then even the S3, S4. Its everything I really want, and I intend to get it, but I have a feeling that I might return it due to the OS, Having android as a safty net would be amazing, and moreover if I could dualboot.
