Did you enjoy you first beer?

Must have had mine at around 16, 18 now. Still don't like it, though I don't like many works to be fair... would rather have vodka and coke over anything else.

I have been drinking alcohol since I was around ten and have always enjoyed it. I remember pestering my parents whenever they had a dinner party for a sip of wine or beer. They eventually relented and my allowance was 4 bottles of BabyCham, which I always gave half of to my friend.

Loved my first beer. Hated my first time with red wine, though after stealing a bottle of (from what I have been told) a very old and fine vintage, I did drink the whole thing and spend the rest of the day being sick.

I did not touch it again for about ten years, when I was well into my twenties.

I mainly stick to decent English Cider now though. People think beer tastes crap as they have only tried crap beer. I swear I will never let any crap like Fosters or Carling pass my lips ever again.

Can't remember my first beer, but I do remember my mates getting me so wasted on my 18th bday that I literally couldn't stand the taste of beer after that.
If it was in a pint glass, it had to be cider for the following year.

All good now, but I hardly ever drink these days.

First time I tried beer it tasted repulsive, and it still does. Any beer/bitter/ale/stout/lager is absolutely disgusting. I just can't get on with the hops flavour, I've tried many and various beers etc and hate them all. Would much rather have a nice spirit or pint of cider, though I don't enjoy drinking pints either particularly, if you want to get drunk it's just far too much liquid.

Yuck.

I'm not big on hops either so I drink heavily malted Ales.

No it was vile. Someone I was friends with as kids, a few years older than me, bought a 3 ltr bottle of kestral (I'm sure it was 3 ltrs) when I was around 13 and we knocked it back. I hated every sweet delicious swig.

I was a late drinker. Had beer and wine at the dinner table occasionally during my upbringing from age 16. I remembered not really liking the drinks at the time. This cycle went on until I was 20, then I started university and my attitude to drink changed... very quickly!

Don't like lager, I drink bud every now and then, but its mainly the ciders in on. Rekorderlig or how you spell it is fantastic.

I probably did, but really don't like drinking beer much now at all. Just makes me bloated after one or two and I don't find beer either tasty or refreshing. I prefer water, soft drinks, fizzy drinks and vodka.

Didn't like it when I tried it, and I still don't. I find a surefire way to make something taste utterly cack is to add alcohol to it.

Nope, didnt enjoy it, but it was what everyone else drank so felt like I had to join in! Then after a while I turned to cider and have continued to drink it ever since (although I have evolved from the original strongbow!).

Can't stand the smell of lager, brings back some hideous memories!

I'm a cider man now whether out on the town or at home. If on a big night out I can only handle cider for half the night as I get too bloated so I switch to shots/mixers. I wouldn't drink a beer if someone paid me too!

Yes when at the tender age of three although it was Stout rather than beer I enjoyed it nonetheless! I hid under the table in the livingroom and stole my mums when she'd put it down upon noticing it was missing she then heard "MMM... Beer" From under the table :p

I can't remember what happened yesterday, let alone when I was 3 :P lol. I hated beer up until the age of 22 really... I drink 3 pints, then move onto spirits, as it bloats me too much.

Can't remember my first beer. Can remember my first attempt (at 16) to neck a bottle of vodka straight. It didn't end well, the smell of vodka makes me sick. Yet it's still my favourite drink when mixed.

I hated it. I still hate it now. I hate it even more now I have had my heartburn issue fixed (broken valve on top of stomach) and so it is hard to burp, so the fizz has to travel out the other end.....
Cider is OK, my favourite is a pint of coke with a few shots of JD in :).

I used to swig my uncles and dads beers when they weren't looking when I was like 4-5 at Christmas. Apparently I liked it and went back for more. Not sure what they were drinking, but I'd imagine it was some sort of lager.
