The cheapest and best HDD Hot Swap internal 5.25in Sata

I was looking at Icy Box IB-170SK-B mobile Rack, SATA 1.5/3/6 Gb/s

Can you take out HDD when the pc's on? I know very little about them.

The rack supports hot swapping but you may need to configure your SATA controller so that it supports hot swapping. Without doing that the drive in the rack might not appear in the safely remove hardware list - you'll need to use that to properly stop the drive before swapping it.

My mobo is Asus p8z77-m. can this one do hot swapping? any guides on how to do it?

look in the bios it will say in there somewhere to enable hotswap

looked at the startech 5.25" bays? they let you plug in an internal hdd and a 2.5" ssd/hdd they mount like a dvd drive

I was looking at startechs and they seem to be the cheapest. In my mobo it says Hot Plug? do they mean the same as hot swap?
