Jack Daniel’s Sends the Most Polite Cease-and-Desist Letter Ever

Nice of them, I like Jack Daniels as a company, they have a classy feel and this gives me an excuse to have a glass of Gentleman Jack tonight..

Congrats on 1,000 btw

Good guy JD. Thats the correct way to do business.

I don't mind their whisky at all, it's not a terrible bourbon. Yes it is a little overpriced but they've kind of earnt that right with how they've built the brand I reckon.

Don't you find it to be a bit too... I dunno, sweet? Like it was made to be mixed rather than taken neat.

Not a fan personally, but I thought their cease and desist was brilliant, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I'm glad they remembered that. :)

Like the comments on that article said...JD knew exactly what they were doing with this.

And it worked. Good PR/marketing team.

I think thats in the nature of bourbon, I like it with a tiny tiny dash of caffiene free coke (don't like sweet coke). Or just a little branch water.

I have drunk it neat before though, woodford reserve or buffalo trace are superior beverages but they are also at a difference price point.

Very nice gesture of them offering to pay for the reprint.

I've just ordered a copy of the book as well, not too expensive so thought I'd give it a go. :)
