**WHO WANTS A DELL U2711 for £329.99 Inc. VAT??? (YES THERE'S A CATCH)!!**

I would strongly advise against buying one of these, regardless of the completely wrong description/ images which have finally been changed. Someones broke within 20 mins, and mine turned up without stand screws and was DOA (both monitors the4 same problem, push the power button and nothing happens except a blue light, brightness buttons do nothing, just dead)

I advise to spend more money and get a Dell or something because its worth it.... Hazro obviously have ZERO quality control with this batch and just put them together and shipped them out without even turning them on to see if they work....... terrible.

I completely agree. Got one today that was DOA.

AVOID!!

Thats 3......... Im not usually one to moan like this guys, and I didnt make this account to do so (I made it before I made my order) But this is atrocious... Hazro need to recall all these, if you have one thats working I would send it back.

We're in contact with OCUK now to see what the issue is. In the meantime, brief system specs and descriptions of faults will be appreciated.

No idea what to do now. Nice!
I'm not sure this forum is a good way to gauge whether Hazro's monitors are worse than anyone else's - OCUK are the only seller and Hazro post here, so naturally everyone with an issue will flock to these threads. The Corsair forums are nothing but people complaining about faulty products and they do great stuff.

On the other hand, a DOA monitor is hard to excuse. You'd hope someone would plug it in before boxing it.

If dual-link DVI is the only thing you need then this could be a nice upgrade for you. Keep in mind that if you any kind of 3D games that the resolution you want to run this thing on will need quite powerful hardware.

Indeed, I have a 27" Hazro and it certainly makes the graphics card (gtx 570) earn It's money!

Problem is its not just one DOA monitor, 3/3 on the forum have arrived DOA or died within 20 mins

2 with the same problem, you plug it in, the power switch is red, you press the power buttong and it turns blue but nothing happens, connected or not connected to the PC the screen doesnt respond.

Im guessing the other one that arrived DOA had the same problem.

System: Q9550, Asus P5Q Deluxe, 4GB OCZ Reaper 8500, MSI GTX 580 OC, Asus Xonar DG, PCP&C Silencer 750, Samsung 64GB SLC SSD RAID0 & 256GB 830, 2TB F1, Win7 HP x64
Cooling: RO Aqua, Swiftech Apogee GTZ, EK-FC580 GTX full cover block, Thermochill PA120.3 with Scythe S-FLEX Fans,
Eheim 1250, Antec P182

Unboxed and plugged in. Blue light on and PC recognised monitor in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution but screen remained off. I switched the cable ends around and the screen came on. Screen too bright so tried the brightness buttons - no effect. Turned down brightness in graphics card control panel. Checked for dead/stuck pixels (none) and had just started to compare against my 2407WFP when the screen went off again. Blue light remained on, monitor still recognised in Windows. I tried recycling power on monitor and PC, different ports on the graphics card, different cables, even different PCs. Same result. The light was on...

Yeah this is what happened to mine. It's like nobody even switched it on before it left the factory.

I dont know what to do now......

I ordered a monitor that is very different from the one I received.

I had to sell my old monitor to help pay for it.

The wrong monitor which turned up didnt have any stand screws and didnt even work.

I have now sent it back and have no monitor (have to use my phone.... lots of important stuff I simply cant do off it)

And now I have no money to buy another monitor which I need now really... been 3 days without a monitor and I need my money to get another as quick as possible.

How long does a refund usually take?

Andy, are you able to make a post in the orders section with the full details regarding the order and your order number so I can sort this out in the morning for you? :)

I am well aware of that. People with problems post it on forums, people without problem sit at home playing GW2.

I'm also aware this panel has been on sale for 24 hours and 100% of the reports are DOAs ... that is not good for OCUK (or Hazro) sales.

Incidentally, I have ordered one with next day shipping. If it had been any other shop in the UK I wouldn't have, but OCUK have been immaculate every time I have ordered from them, and that trust means a lot. If it turns out fine, I'll likely order a second, even if it costs me an extra £16 shipping.

Thanks for you acknowledgment, its nice to see people from the actual shop regularly on the forums, I have made a post in the section.

I know the feeling - bought the DGM which died after a day. Decided to try a different brand while waiting for a refund which was the DOA hazro so i'm nearly £800 in the hole to overclockers. Definitely can't afford to get yet another monitor while waiting for refunds and am pretty unhappy about it.

Yes but if you want to trick people that don't know any better you can label it as dynamic contrast and make any figure you want.
This is labelled like it has static contrast of 80,000:1 which is just a blatant lie.
Does overclockers.co.uk have any responsibility to the customer when a manufacture deliberately lies about specifications?

Well at least it's not an even more crazy spec in the millions:1 which many screens tout now. I agree in practice they are nearly always entirely fictitious but they can be achieved in the factory in most cases (or through measurement techniques using a 100% black image) so I wouldn't say they are a complete lie in that sense

But most of the crazy contrast ratios come from dynamic contrast. This is the first time I have seen a static contrast so crazy!
It really is an out and out lie and a deliberate attempt to deceive people, even those that understand the difference between static and dynamic.
