I have bought 2 60gig ssd's but I'm not sure which ports on the motherboard to use.
My motherboard has 2 Intel sata 2 ports which I have a hdd raid 0 array in, then there are 2 marvel sata 3 ports which are unused, and a couple of black ports which I haven't got a clue about.

The ssd's are sata 2 I believe but I don't want to risk loosing the raid array by moving it to a different controller. So will they perform at there best in the sata 3 marvel ports because I hear it's not as good as the Intel controller.

The one in your sig? According to the specs it has 8 ports, 6 off the Intel controller (2x SATA 6Gb and 4x SATA 3Gb) and two Marvell 6Gb ports. Just use the Intel ones.

the marvell wont handle raid0 verywell

you want the intel sata3 ports if your boards the one in your sig? if the sata3 ports are used put em in intel sata2 ports

OK thanks guys, I didn't realise the other ones were Intel too.
Will I be ok to switch the raid drives to the Intel sata 2 ports without any problems or am I just best leaving them where they are?

Shouldn't make a difference, but it also won't make a difference which ones your SSD's use.
