Hey guys this is what ive come up with so far,

I was going to remove the front drive bay and mount some ssd's inside the case instead so i could mount the pump in front of the case and a res on the side.

Im not sure ive got everything right can you guys double check for me and make any adjustments?

You won't need any spring clips as you're using compressions, they're only for barbs.

Your res is for a DDC pump, your pump is a D5, they won't wok properly together. I'd suggest you change your res to an EK advanced tube res (whichever size you want, probably 150) and get a D5 pump with an after market top (see the OcUK tech labs D5 pumps)

For each litre of water you need 2 kill coils, bearing this in mind, getting some mayhems pastel will be better value as it lasts around 3 yrs and it comes with everything you need premixed.

A D5 will probably be overkill for your needs, an EK 4.0 pump will be enough, but if you plan on expanding the loop to GPU block(s) and ant absolute silence then the D5 is certainly the way to go :)

Presuming you know that that rad will certainly fit, with 25mm fans (will be around 85mm thick), then you should be good to go :)

Also do you have a budget in mind for the loop?

You do have areas where you could cut costs should you want too, i.e. EK compressions over Bitspower and like cleee said a DCP/DDC over a D5.

Cheaper basket:

YOUR BASKET
1 x XSPC RayStorm D5 EX240 WaterCooling Kit £239.99
1 x OCZ Agility 3 240GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-240G) £128.99
1 x Corsair HX/TXM Series individually Sleeved Modular Cable Kit - Black £46.99
Total : £427.37 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Watercooling wise you still get top of the range stuff, swapped SSD for a cheaper one that to my untrained eye looks pretty much the same as the one you chose.

The res in the new basket is a dual bay one, presuming you have the space :)

Hey guys really appreciate your advice you sure I wont need the clamps? it looks like the pumps have barbs on them which you just slip the hoses over.
I was watching an NCIX video and some pumps seem to be like that.

Im looking at an EK 4.0 now which you can attach a res to directly. I think I could fit those together in the front of the case with no issue im not sure.

So the pastel fluid I wont need to use kill coils etc?

Can you guys suggest a build then? also I will have enough space in the prodigy for the rad :)

Also if you suggest anything just keep the cpu block the same as that block will 100% fit on my motherboard as the back plate wont block the msata chip underneath (lol asrock)

I think 400 to 450 max really guys including that ssd as ill need it in place of my mechanical.

Hey bud read above incase you missed it.

I cant fit a dual bay res it has to be small.

Im putting all this in a Bitfenix prodigy.

Heres the pump and pump top and a pump res add on i was looking at.

OCUK tech Labs Pump and top DDC

What you think of that combo?

Come up with this but I would rather use compression fittings so would ask ocuk to change them probabaly. What do you think?

Will I need anything else? like kill coils etc or what not?

Firstly, you may want to check this out, makes baskets a lot easier:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/empfloiadabicdlgahhamannadefhehj?hl=en-GB

Secondly, your post code is showing on the last pic ;)

Your latest basket (presuming that you've checked the rad fits) is the best so far, some slight tweaks:
**The kit already comes with gentle typhoons
**Aurora coolant is only suitable for around 6 months use, not designed for everyday use
**Pastel is designed for long term use and has biocide premixed so you won't need any kill coils

OcUK will most likely be able to facilitate your need for compressions

You don't need clamps with compressions because they pretty much have clamps as part of the fitting, better quality and more compressive! :p

Just for reference, the initial D5 you selected had a standard top on it with 1/2 barbs for which, when using 7/16 tubing, you don't need clamps for. However aftermarket tops offer better flow and have G1/4 ports on them which allow them to accommodate more/better variety of fittings.

OMG haha Ive been trying to figure out how to do that!! thanks bud.

You reckon? ive not missed anything have I? Its essentially the same just cheaper really. Yeah the rad will fit.

I could probabaly ask for compression fittings and pastel at extra cost instead of the included stuff when i call them up to make order changes.

Do I have your 100% backing on this then :)

Craig hehe.

Have a look at my build mate in my sig.

The D5 pump is huge in the prodigy and will fit, but only really where I have mine.

Have a look anyway - it'll give you some ideas.

This is what I have atm bud the other build is quite expencive I can get this one in without a prob and it does not go to much over budget either to be fair.

I might have another look not sure yet. I would like the D5 to be honest hehe going to have another look.

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Tech Lab - V8 Watercooling Kit 240 £184.98

There is also this option

I got a angled compression for the cpu block plus 2 normal for the res the rad and one more for the cpu block. Seeing as the D5 uses barbs I didnt bother but do you guys recomend I use a clamp just in case?

Any ideas on this guys?

I was thinking of mounting the D5 sideways in the front bay Monkey, Having the tube res feeding directly into it then out the top? Into the CPU Block out the block into the radiator back into the res.

The top of the D5 is the out port right?

Guys I can connect the Tube res directly to the D5 Can I not? without tubeing or will I need to run a tube to it.

You need a bit of tubing for the res -> pump, but it can be as small as you need, roughly 5cm

Ask OcUK to swap the rad to a 240, res to a tube one and compression fittings

On an aftermarket top (in kit) you can use the top or the middle(ish) as outlets

OR:

Differences:
Nickel block instead of copper (as in OP)
Plexi pump top instead of acetal (have to assemble yourself)

Multi port radiator for ease of use

Notes:
D5 is extremely overkill, just so you know, your choice if you still want it :)

Hmm the second Basket I like better, I would want 4 skythes for push Pull obviously I dont want to get OCUK compression fittings as ive had bad news about them from people on here so went for the other ek ones.

I was going to buy 2 Angled fittings and 5 normal fittings thats what i envision I will need.

Whats the seal cap for wont any of the parts already have them?

Second basket seems Ideal really. The pump and pump top and res look like they will take a lot more room then the D5 thought im not entirely sure.

^^^ Im a noob I didnt realise the way the top and pump fit together!

i'm not certain that the rad comes with them so added some anyway

Feel free to tweak to your heart's content, one thing to note is that push pull will not give you a massive difference in temps, certainly not worth £30

Yeah, push/pull isn't reall worth the extra £££.

Also, I Would look to get either a 60mm or even 80mm thick rad in there.

Both of mine are 60.

Perfect :) I was not sure on the fans so went with the gentle typhoons.

I want to get the thickest rad in there as I can.

Im thinking that I should get a fan controller too what you think? not sure if neccesary.
