Guild Wars 2

Yea I know but I can't change the player model.

I don't know why I rolled Asura tbh, I always hated the look of dwarfs and gnomes in WOW.

Asura are cool as ****. You don't know how many times I've been overlooked due to my size as an Asura thief whilst dpsing the enemy.

Love the Asura :)

Its horrible when youre trying to put together a group for something like CM explorable, and the thief says 'lol the only melee is a thief, dont we need a tank?', and then he tries to melee legendary purple bosses .....

No, you just dont, I dont even ... This is not WoW!

If you dont carry your classes ranged weapons, please dont ever pug QQ

Depends on the class, for a thief, yea definitely. I play a tanky guardian (I know, there's no tanks, but if I do get aggro I don't take much damage and I buff my team a lot) and I haven't had a problem yet as long as I'm playing properly.

There have been a few but-it-here discussions over the last ~6 pages, so it's worth clicking back and having a peek. Several people have reported good transactions with a few of them, so that could be the recommnedation you're looking for.

New topic:
80's (and other high levels) - Is there a particular point where you reckon the 'feel' of the class has come through (with repsect to someone planning to try a few alts and see what they like)?

For example, in WoW I usually recommended people play to at least 20. Your class mechanic is usually well established (stealth, pets, etc), you've had enough talent points to start to specialise a bit, you've tried various bits of gear on, usually done a zone or two - by that point I think you can usually tell whether or not the class is enjoyable in the long run.

I think the long run bit is an important distinction - for example WoW's hunter class is a pile of **** 'til you get a pet - I deleted 2-3 of them before level 10. Once I finally got one past that hurdle, I took it all the way to 85 and loved every minute of it.

So, what's that threshold for GW2?

Level 20?
Once you've unlocked all your weapon skills?
Wait for all skill slots?

I'd be interested to know what you think.

Guys, in case any of you have been as much of a tool as I have, get this.

We're all desperate for Jute right? And keep hoping for Jute scrap pick ups in those little bags enemies drop.

I didn't realise until last night (I'm level 28) that you can salvage Ragged Garments with a salvage kit to get Jute scraps!!

I thought salvage kits only worked on weapons, armour and jewles etc. I didn't realise so many of the scrap items you pick up could be salvaged, I always sold them. Dam!

I am exactly the same :( my brother came round the other night and said that I should just try and salvage everything that comes into my bag.

I made a fair bit of proffit when the TP was back on and then spent most of it getting the materials

If I knew this then I could have used the money for somthing more usfull but I wont be making the same mistakes again for my other crafting ha-ha

I think hitting level 30 is the milestone in GW2. I'm told that's when it gets a whole lot harder/more rewarding in general, especially in the tombs.
I'm nearly there, whoop.

Really getting in to the game now and enjoying exploring. Only level 38 at the moment, so got a long while to go! :D. What is the max of one resource you can have as I cant seem to send my iron ore to storage via the 'send all collectables button'. That and im too lazy and tight to teleport back to check :p
