I just ordered one. I don't even know what I'm going to do with it yet. Already have an M4 and a Samsung. It was just too hard to resist at that price!

Think I'll chuck it in an HTPC I'll be building next month.
 
Hmmm, not sure my speeds are quite as fast as they should be. Any tips?

I'd have to double check this actually, I thought all my ports were the same on my neo2-fr p35 board. Perhaps not? actually now I come think of it, it shows up as a listed device on my Marvell controller, so I'll change it to a native socket and start a fresh and re-post my results sometime over the weekend. is there much tuning to be done once finished?

Not sure about tuning as I have just got my Vertex. But as for the Marvell controller that would be my guess what the problem is, the Marvell control, on the X79 anyway, is terrible.

The marvel controller is garbage and only suited for optical drives so thats your problem.
 
Hope you guys have more look with these than I did! went through three of these in six months. Retailer was great about exchanging them but even at this price I wouldn't be tempted.
 
so....even though this deal ended friday ?....they are worth buying even at a higher price ....or would i be better just getting another samsung 830 ???
