Guild Wars 2

Crafting is the easiest way to get exotic armor + weapons, but an even easier way is to save up the required materials and a generous tip and find a maxed crafter to make it for you if you have no interest in crafting.
Thanks that's good to know. I might play around with it at some stage but more interested in just simply selling stuff.

woot I'm up to about 125 in my armour crafting :D
lv 33
played for about 45 hours in 8 days which is almost 6 hours a day.

if you type /age it tells you your playtime

Ok next question .. Is there an Inn where you log out ala wow where you gain bonus xp ? and anyone on ring of fire ?

Nope - no rested exp. Although some mobs will give great bonus experience if they haven't been killed for a while

Pro tip - always kill 1 mob that you come across which is yellow (won't attack you without being attacked). Usually people dodge them because they don't have to kill them, so they usually have high bonus exp.

And no, not on ring of fire.

I don't like the /age thing. So many hours already put in.

Done every heart, got every waypoint. Just working on Points of interest and vistas in WvW now.

Just ticked 22 on my warrior and my armour is still bland old chainmail. :( Having a blast compared to my ranger though, I usually prefer ranged as well which is unusual.

Had a couple of people invite me to guilds mid fight which is not only annoying but a guaranteed way to ensure I don't join them.

Melee is fun, until you enter a dungeon and realise you're probably going to have to go ranged.

Just give your warrior a longbow or rifle, and voilà you have a heavy armour wearing ranged death dealer. I love my skirmisher warrior, she's hawt too.

Not sure what to do in this game now tbh! Our group (4 of us) had a couple people reroll, left me as the only current one at 80 with 87 hours played so if I were to do dungeons I'd be doing in pure pugs, which I can stand but wouldn't have motivation to then do them again in a few weeks once rest of my group has hit 80 but what's really stupid is that we can't queue for scenario pvp together and no such GvG system exists such as in original GW and just don't see what we can even do as a group now ;o

Find it kind of odd that I haven't read complaints about this anywhere else, we all kind of feel the same as to what we can actually set as our goal and work towards be it pve or pvp, as far as pve goes we'd be done within a week for the stuff we want and as you cannot do scenario pvp as a team (you join same game, might be on the same team but might not, which then rotates at the end of each round...), WvW is far too zerg or be zerged for our liking, so that's out of the question, and tournament pvp... meh? Seems just a little too try-hard and we'd need a fifth

Why are u rushing the game? why dont u take your time too explore and enjoy the game?

And why not create new characters and try level to 80 for them? no class is the same mate.

This game easily has 100+ hours of game time and thats a lot for a £40 pc game. more then 9/10 games out there but if u rush the game playing it 24/7 and expect it to last a year then come on lol.

Very true. In AC you're practically punished for being melee I found on my thief. I'm all for mixing play up with weapon swapping, but it's so much of an easier life just to sit back and range dps all way through.

If I drop turrets whats best to spec into, I have not spent much time reading or watching videos, so Im very confused with the specs.

If you're definitely wanting to go turrets, you need to put 30 of your trait points into the inventions line, and get the major traits that buff turrets. When you get to level 30, I'd also use the Supply Crate elite skill, as that drops 3 turrets. No matter how you spec you will always be waiting for turrets, hence why it might be a good idea to try some different skills if you're finding it boring.

I find it strange/annoying they haven't implemented a guild/group joining system for pvp. I assume it's something they will introduce at some point though as it essentially renders guilds pointless apart from being a social hub which will nice, isn't really their point. (well their main point)

I dont get why so many people are rushing to level up, I'm still trying to avoid it!

Still at level 53 and simply farming tailoring supplies now because I need to get that levelled up, I've already sank over 1 gold into levelling my JC and need to work on tailor now.

I'm avoiding map completions, hearts and stuff. The only thing that gives EXP that I'm willing to do is explorable dungeons.

I re-specced into explosives - equip the bomb kit and you do loads of damage (and can still use turrets - I have healing turret, net and thumper as well as the bomb kit).

Put your traits into explosives and invention. Use the airdrop in group fights, the golem in single.

Just completed my third CM explorable run, and this time it went a heck of a lot smoother since everyone knew what they were doing :D

I swapped my traits a bit to 10 water, 20 air 15 fire following my earlier idea and equipped power + healing jewelry plus defensive utilities and was a lot less squishy and died no where near as much.

No one in the group needed to repair their armor once, so I suppose that was a super smooth run :)

Oh it only took 75 minutes too ... Im definitely sure that <60 minutes is possible once everyone is better geared and plays perfectly after more practice.
