I think my sub runs out in a week and I'm not going to renew for a few months. I need to set aside some time to play the shed load of unplayed/unfinished games in my Steam account.
I've got that problem, especially with the sales

cheers skill love you 2.
sorry not been around or racing but RL really bad right now and im moving back home to yorkshire, but this means ill have no space for my rig so i wont be racing for a while, i might be able to but it will be single screen setup and i dont know if ive got a suitable desk to clamp my wheel to...

Bought a sub a while ago on some offer, only really had a proper go at it in the last week or so. Hoping to move up to D license in Road and Oval before next season but not sure what to do once the new season starts. I've only done a couple of races on either side, mostly just hanging back being patient and making places when the wrecks happen ahead of me.
In a way I'm wondering whether to just race on in the rookie series for a full season to learn more about iracing, race craft etc and hope not to have to buy any cars/tracks. Or try and race in something like the Street Stocks (which I'm enjoying atm and I think is getting a D level series next season) or focus on road and buy the bits necessary for Skip Barber series, decisions.... think I may be getting into it though, if only I were any good![]()
There are class D series that utilise the MX-5/SRF or Solstice so no new car to buy at least (check the schedule but I believe some of them run some non-free tracks), these should offer the better racing to learn with whilst minimising cost

Although on the other hand the Skippy rocks, if you can get over the crazy back end, before spending any money on it drive the SRF, if you like/can get on with that then the Skippy is similar, if you find it evil then don't go putting much money into the Skippy

Haven't got it yet mate, glad i didnt buy barber in the end anyway seems it was impossible to get a race. Spotted you in the Lotus earlier think thats the school we both joined not sure only really got into it myself the other week.
Stunning car mind, as to be my favourite now![]()
Yeah, think that was the school, interesting to see how it's changed, last time I drove it it was on rails far more often, I believe because the model was broken and allowing the rear of the car to go 'below' the tarmac with do drag penalty just moar downforce... Now it's much more 'normal' in the sense you'd expect a powerful old F1 car to be, quite good fun

Think I still rate the Radical a bit above it, kinda similar in a sense but I find the radical far easier to drive, still might try to get some lotus races in at some point if I've got the time

Poor turnout for Barber, my one official race was fun though, albeit a bit of a poor ending, had worked my way from 11th to 3rd and was holding that strongly when I screwed up one corner, let the guy in 4th past and when trying to get a run on him he lost it and I punted him and ended up scraping the wall. Got the meatball but close enough to the end to ignore but car was bad enough that I went from 3rd to 6th anyway
