US official killed in embassy raid in Libya

They were using RPGs weren't they? How is that not a direct attempt to kill them?

from the BBC
"They shot at buildings and threw handmade bombs into the compound"

You dont do that without intent.

Yes agreed but that is not really my point is it my point is that all the people who are so willing to label the crazy Muslims often are not so vocal when it comes to our population throwing firebombs into shops that may well result in a loss of life. I strongly suspect if they had of had the same access to weapons they'd have done the same.

So how about you two: did you express the same outrage last year?

I was, yes. Riots are never a good thing.

Yes, agreed - my point being there are idiots all over and this is more likely to do with poverty and youth etc than religion per se.

The US ambassador would have played a key role in facilitating the overthrow of Gadaffi and his subsequent death by a crazed jihadist mob. They say the Lord works in mysterious ways and how becoming for the US ambassador to end up dying in the hands of a feral mob in the same way Gadaffi did.

Is that film supposed to be a comedy? Or is it honestly that crappy, and propaganda for christian evangelicals or something?

And why are random parts obviously dubbed?

Who are they?

Some will have been protesting some may have taken advantage of the situation for their own means, aka killing an american ambassador.

Do you know the armed faction responsible? i think not, so lets not jump to jumpety jump conclusions ;)

What, like you are? Desperately seeking any excuse other than religious violence?

I suspect the attacks are nothing to do with that and are politically motivated with that as an excuse to get the crowds baying for blood. Doesn't usually take a lot really.

The problem is that the rather sensitive nature of the religion in question allows said political motivators to easily rile up the faithful. I have no doubt it is political hence the earlier post regarding the timing (video out for months, violence on the 11 September, convenient) but if Islam was a little more open to criticism then it would be harder to whip the mob up on false pretenses.

Sure RDM, of coarse you're right with your inside knowledge and motivations of the attackers

Let's see.

On one side we have people saying they are rioting because of religious reasons. This is what I am basing my current thoughts on.

On the other side we have you making up possible motivations.

I think you may need to redirect that rolleyes a little. :D

I havent said anything  so take the rolleyes again

Its you who is jumping to conclusions.

Did the rioters/protestors kill the ambassador or was it an "armed group" within the rioters/protestors as stated by the US. But hey why ask since you all ready know with your connectons, right?

Has anyone claimed responsibility for the attack? but hey just carry on with your BS

Attack in Libya planned, protest used as diversion, U.S. sources say

Tuesday's attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was planned in advance, and the attackers used the protest outside the consulate as a diversion, U.S. sources told CNN Wednesday.

The sources could not say whether the attackers instigated the protest or merely took advantage of it. The sources do not believe Ambassador Chris Stevens was specifically targeted.

Hush, RDM might read it.

You could say the same about any faith. There is always extremists and idiots.

Ever heard of the bible belt in America? Unless you're strict christian and white don't even think about going there.

What an absolute pathetic load of rubbish. Yes there are a lot of hardcore Christians in certain states but to even compare them to the insanity of what goes on in these Islamic hell holes just makes you look stupid and discredits anything you say. How can you even compare idiots who want creationism taught in schools with fanatics who will KILL you for drawing a picture, pull your head out of your arse mate and stop talking balls.
