Armada of British naval power massing in the Gulf as Israel prepares an Iran strike

^ Exactly... The gulf has been kicking off every week for the past 10 years, When i was down there last year it was all over the place

Then Libya stole the show

War games... is that it? Not really going down there because they think Israel are gonna do a preemptive strike then. Shesh... I'm shocked that the telegraph would produce such drivel.

Looks like the massive naval armada from 2005/2006 (it was that long ago I can't remember) has finally arrived!

What evidence is there that Israel are preparing a pre-emptive strike against Iran??

This is just a naval exercise and convenient show of force. The headline/opening paragraphs are a bit misleading...

Does anyone think Iran actually feels intimidated/threatened by the West/USA?

Things are pretty bad in Iran. My gf who is British, but was born in Iran recently went back to visit some family. She mentions the sanctions are hitting hard.

As an example:

Families can not afford to buy meat anymore. You might think this is petty. However consider the damage to moral it does to the population. Especially when a vast majority of Iranian dishes contain meat.

Western products have been banned. Stuff like tampons, loo roll etc are now made by the Iranian manufacturing force. From what I've seen the products are not up to scratch either!

Israel have been within months of launching a strike on Iran now for years... as the great entrepreneur Marlo Stanfield once said "Well do it or don't, I got some place to be"

Read "annual exercise" and started to think it was a little sensationalist, got as far as "at least 12 battleships" and stopped reading what was proving to be not only sensationalist, but twaddle as well.

What ships we got there?

The British component consists of four British minesweepers and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Cardigan Bay, a logistics vessel. HMS Diamond, a brand-new £1billion Type 45 destroyer, one of the most powerful ships in the British fleet, will also be operating in the region.

cool, but it's hardly an armada is it...
