Awesome Sim only offer from Virgin if anybody is interested

Don't forget that if you have TV, Home Phone and BB you can get discounted mobile deals from VM.

Do Virgin use T-mobile network coverage? T-mobile customer here.

Because im thinking of going through this route my self. Anybody else on Virgin? How are they?

I would be interested in this, we currently have all VM stuff for our house, would their be any better deals to be had with hose in consideration, also whats general reception like ( Belfast/ NI here)

Just checking, and this looks good, as a VM customer.

SIM card cost FREE
Your tariff gives you:
Unlimited calls to Virgin Mobile numbers
150 minutes
Unlimited texts
Unlimited texts to Virgin Mobile numbers
Unlimited Mobile Web

Really not worried about in call minutes, but when it says "Unlimited MOBILE Web" does this mean no teathering?...as then that makes it no better than the GG Sim im currently on.

Yes.

Tethering is something you can do, and as long as you stay within your data allowance then you won't be charged anymore - different plans have different allowances for data so best to check on your allowance through your account online or through 789.

Just bear in mind that pc sites take more data than mobile optimised sites so you'll use that data up incredibly quickly if not careful - keeping an eye on your allowance through 789 will help with this.

Many thanks.

This is a bargain but for me Vodafone is the most reliable network for the areas I live and work, even with the network now shared between T-Mobile and Orange. Shame as that's a brilliant deal.

Has anyone taken advantage of this and used it with an iPhone4? Is so any problems, did you cut your own SIM to size or did you get a micro one from Virgin? I've spoken to a couple of people on phone and web chat and I'm getting conflicting answers.

Not bad, but doesn't seem that amazing to me? Unless you're somebody who makes a lot of calls.

I'd rather go with Giffgaff for the same price, less minutes but its unlimited data. I realise Virgin allow tethering but with only 1GB allowance that doesn't seem much use.

Think I'll try this.

Can't do tethering on GG with an iPhone unless you jailbreak, which I'm not interested in.

Is this effectively using the EE/Orange network if it uses T-Mobile coverage? Are they all the same thing now?

I have a virgin £12 sim to supplement my data needs (on O2 on and on unltd minutes and texts 1gb data). Unlimited data and used in my huwaei e586 mifi without issue.

Considering swapping to Virgin Mobile from Tesco Mobile on a sim only deal, need to check my mins to see wether the £12 or the £17 will be best for me, just got a free virgin mobile payg sim to try out coverage etc where ill most often use it. Going to top it up with £10 and get unlimited data for a month
