Specifically bought that one because of the wireless TTL, master/slave, and nice ROM head - and isn't £300+ like the Nikon SB910 
. I don't have a body that supports wireless (D5100) yet though The softbox was separate, £5 jobbie.

The quality between those two items are not comparable. His also has a tripod ring attached

On paper (I've not got any real-world experience of either, truth be told.. the Di866 arrived 30mins ago) the SB wins, but I just couldn't justify the extra £100+ for it. I just need a flashgun that supports iTTL but will also let me fiddle with settings so I can learn. After a few days of reading around, the one thing I noticed come up the most was the advice to make sure your first flash is a very good flash - so I compared the Di866, the Metz AF-58-2, and of course the various SBs (700/900/910) and the Di866 looked to be the best bang-for-buck.

The flask is easy to spot too. It claims to be a f2.8, but with a 67mm filter size.
The f4 has a 67mm filter, the 2.8 is 77mm

Genuine question - how much were the 18-200mm and 105mm 2.8? Was a 70-200mm 2.8 and [something else] a comparable price?
No its not a thermos.
It's a beauty to use. Have only taken a couple of shots but the focus is spot on and very quick. Will try and get out this weekend and have a play
I recently purchased the Sony a77 and love it. Easy to take really photos without too much thinking

Nah, my 70-200 f2.8 cost more alone than both of those 2 lenses put together would have cost. That includes my staff discount!

Also, I did promise photos of our new cameras:
A little birdy did tell me that prices will drop soon... very soon... the camera itself is nice though and when it hits the right price (can't reveal what I'm afraid) I'm sure they'll fly out.
