Haha well they do say love is blind! No it really is my favourite game of this generation. No doubt it's a marmite game but for every negative review there was another place saying it was the best thing since sliced bread. Take a chance and you just might fall in love!

Ha... I'm going to see if I can get a cheap pre-owned copy at the weekend or off the bay. Better be good :p

I have a friend who is extremely obsessed with Deadly Premonition also, Loves it to the point I think he may also think its his fave game this gen. I've never played it myself. Didnt realise it was a sandbox similar to Shenmue though, Always seemed like Res Evil type game stuck in a mansion. Thats from the odd video I've seen. I never played it as it looked dated, Which is naughty of me to be honest, as it doesnt usually stop me. considering I love horror games.

I think I'll put my vote to DP, On the basis its got 2 people extremely invested in it. Where as GOW 3, I've never heard much about it atall outside of the trilogy. GOW 2 was the stand out game from what i can tell. Never played the 3rd one.

So DP

*Drumroll*

Deadly Premonition

Yes, legit vote for it. Gears 3 felt like more of the same for me, it was polished, it was fun and it was a good end to a decent trilogy. But it wasn't anything new by any stretch.

Deadly Premonition however, I bought this for a tenner due to Hostiles recommendation and it really is an attempt at something knew. Its not polished, it's clunky to put it lightly, but it has charm and character. You can tell the developers cared and they did everything they could with a shoestring budget.

Best purchase you will ever make! :D

Streeteh did you make it to the end? I thought the end game was really, really good, I can't believe how much effort they put in compared to some so called Triple A games. The card game was really addictive as well.

Not yet as work is mega busy at the moment. I bought it at the start of the summer holidays (i'm a teacher, not a student!) but also bought a flat during that time so didn't get as much of a chance as i had hoped to play it. The start of the academic year is also stupidly busy so I haven't had a chance to play games at all in the past month. When things quieten down I will get back into it.

Trust me then the best is yet to come, lots of twist and turns. Some tough boss fights however!

Killswitch cookie will be sent 1st class recorded. The fight back is now officially on. Ps its going to take a while working out what everyone's voting for amongst all the text lol.

8 against 5 Gears of War 3 goes through (though I think DP put up a good fight given the marketing exposure of Gears).
