DPD Delivery Drivers Are *****

I've only ever had 1 issue with a DPD delivery, took an extra week or so to get my package delivered, OCUK were very good at sorting it out and it was delivered the next day. Props to OCUK, although I wish you could easily talk to someone at DPD...

Other than that have only ever one problem, not delivery related, a disgruntled DPD delivery man swearing out the window at me... Hm.

Sorry to hear about these two incidents - certainly not what we want to hear.

Be sure to get in touch if you ever need assistance - [email protected]

They should start making the delivery driver take a photo of them self in front of doors that they 'card'

Small camera on their jacket that actually records them knocking. It would only need to record when the attempt is made.

You wouldn't do it for every driver, just the ones with higher rates of carding.

Good feedback. Something I'll definitely be passing across to our IT team.

DPD are amazing in my area.

Thanks

DPD is ace. In terms of their web infrastructure, advising what time they will deliver, being able to rebook online, text updates.

They only recently started up as well, unless they were known as a different courier brand before, as is often the case.

That's correct - we became DPD back in 2008. Prior to that, we were known as Parceline.

I was gutted to realise DPD had dropped a card through the letterbox yesterday, only to find it was a "We left your parcel in a safe place"

I don't find them too bad at all tbh

Phew! Good to hear!

Thank you Bobby for helping. :)

Nice to see someone from the courier company on our forums. This is not what you see every day. :)

There will always be mistakes and problems with any company, however DPD I find is the best courier company we have ever used.

It's a pleasure.

As I said to you when we joined up, OcUK's forum was one of the ones we were keen to get on. This thread is proof of that - great feedback that we can use in improving our service moving forward.

To be honest, I live in a rather obscure place. I've had probably about 50 or so deliveries via DPD from OcUK and other etailers.
They're the only company that ever find my house, and also have never failed to deliver within their allocated time slot.

Also the drivers are friendly :D

That's what we like to hear - glad that the service has been spot-on for you. Be sure to get in touch if you ever have any queries - [email protected]

I'm sorry to hear that. We do pride ourselves on being customer centric, and we encourage all staff across the business to convey a good mood. We think that overall our drivers convey a fantastic image; the overwhelming majority are a cheery bunch (believe me, I've visited depots up and down the country, and if some of them weren't drivers, they'd be stand up comedians!). I guess it's just one of those things that occasionally people will be in a bad mood (not ideal, I know!).

If you feel that you're not getting the best possible service, feel free to email me some details - [email protected]

It's not a problem as such.
He's never missed a delivery, always within the time frame specified, that said, the last one probably sticks in my mind because it was 4PM and he just wanted to get home.

Okay, but if it is something you ever want to discuss get in touch.

In our opinion, great service = being on time + a smile.

DPD in my area are usually fine, they managed to completely lose something of mine some time ago, honestly have no idea how, it wasn't worth anything to anyone really but they never found it, got checked into their depot here never to be seen again.

EDIT - I seem to have posted in the wrong section due to my rage....mod please move to GD, thanks :o

Make up whatever expletive you want for the most useless delivery company going. Personally I used the one beginning with C.

My wife is sat at home waiting for a parcel, told that it would arrive between 1-2pm. Nothing turns up. The next thing I know is that I get a text saying no one was in so its gone back to the depot.
They didnt even bother to ring the bell, just put a note through the letter box saying no one was home.
Trying to find a way to complain but as theres no humans available to talk to I have to use their web form, which diverts me to their dutch website.
Are they always this ****?:mad::mad:

My DPD delivery guy is very friendly and does a fantastic job, so I don't think it's fair to tar them all with the same brush.

Another vote for DPD here!

Personally I would replace the five asterisks in the thread title with the word 'great', although I do appreciate that not all drivers are going to be as efficient, or as conscientious, as others.

I really do appreciate receiving an email the evening before to advise me that my parcel be delivered the next day, followed by another one in the morning containing not only the hour's delivery slot, but also the driver's name.

Nine time out of ten the delivery will occur within the first five minutes of that hour, and will be handed over with a cheery smile.

Given a choice of couriers I would ask for DPD every time... and no, I don't work for them, but have always very pleased with the level of service I receive from them.
