Official Avengers Tread ere

Seems we aren't even getting the full version, no commentary and hardly any special features...USA gets everything.

I'll be downloading it until they stop ******* their customers then.

What!!! I love commentaries. Well thats it I'm not buying it either.

Supposedly there wasn't enough time to get the commentary on the region B discs, but I wouldn't be surprised that it's down to the extra european language tracks we have to put up with wasting space.

Can't wait for this. Not sure whether to watch it in 2D or 3D. I got the 3D version which includes the 2D version as well. Saw it in 3D at the Cinema and was blown away by how intimate the experience felt - not felt like that about 3D since Avatar, except Avengers was far more enjoyable!

I couldn't care less for commentary, or any extra features for that matter. All that I'm interested in, is, a good transfer of the film.

Apparently the 3D BR's also cut which would mean it's not the version that's been certified by the BBFC and can't legally be sold.

Edit: All UK versions are cut. Disney will now have to either pull the Blu-Ray and re-release the uncut version, which is the version that has BBFC classification, or they can get the cut version classified. Whatever happens it's another giant sized dump on their customers by Disney UK.

Same here, don't think I've ever watched extras, commentary or anything other than main movie when buying DVDs or BRs

watched this last night, very good film.
but why cant they make comic movies really dark. I know, I know all about money.
but I wish they would make an 18 version, really dark and gritty.

They just released Dredd!, which fills all your criteria. Avengers was never about dark and gritty, with a giant green man and Captain America.

That's what the contrast button is for? :p

LOL.

Thats exactly what I was going to say.

I'm not sure about the obsession that many people have with darkness and light. I like bright, fun and happy. I love Iron Man and his charismatic and joyful approach to life. Iron Man is definitely my fave comic book hero brought to life on the big screen.

For some reason I didn't enjoy this as much as when I went to see it at the cinema. This time round it seems distinctly average, and at times, cringe worthy.

I still find it a fun movie, it's just it doesn't seem as 'great' as the first initial viewing. Oh well.:(

Just watched this, thoughts below:

+Funny in places, Stark in particular.
+Some nice action set pieces around NYC
+Good sound

-First half was pretty boring
-As someone who hasn't watched any of the recent Marvel films, I felt the characters needed a bit more introduction
-Didn't really build much empathy with the characters
-Couldn't really get to grips with the plot at the start

Overall it seemed really overrated to me, I can see that it might impress more on the big screen but it was one of those films I was just glad to see the credits roll. Then again I didn't like X-men either so perhaps not my sort of film.
