EVGA 570 failed & Warranty problems

Well that's EVGA on my list of "Avoid like the plague manufacturers".

Absolutely shameful service if you ask me.

erm... all manufacturers will want the card to look at before they give you a replacement (they'll actually want to repair the card if they can)... good luck sending it to HIS in hongkong and see how long they take

aside from this, as mentioned, under UK Law the retailer has to deal with warranty issues so force the issue with them

mind you, looking here it says within 4 days, not 4 weeks;

most places cross ship from my own experience, I've only encountered 2 places that don't, and that's ocuk unfortunately, and asus, who can go to hell.

In the past I have been asked to give card details to put a hold on the amount (but not actually take any money) but again, that's been very rare.

Sorry to see your in this situation, very frustrating - hope you get it sorted mate

Nope not good at all as with the x79 motherboards the latest bios release was for only a usb keyboard :/

Hello

Yesterday my EVGA 570GTX randomly crashed, fan stopped spinning so looks like card is duff. (bought March 2012)

Contacted EVGA, I have to cough up 400 pounds to get a replacement card and then wait 4 weeks for a refund to my card if faulty or I've got to post it over to Germany insured at own cost and wait 4 weeks for a replacement.

I am unhappy about this, wondered if anyone else had EVGA warranty problems or 570 failures?

JGBR, I have checked with the tech dept and they said there are no outstanding RMA's for 570 cards in the UK... who did you speak to? Please send me a email to [email protected] I will look into it tomorrow morning for you. Another thing there is no fees for RMA with EVGA...unless it was a express service, and this is refunded as soon as we get the old card back. If you did speak to someone and if they did quote £400 they were wrong, so I will be interested to see your email with the details you email me. EVGA go out of our way to be the best for customer support and tech issues, hence we monitor the OCUK forums and for the 4th year in a row have won the PC Pro award for best manufacture. This will get sorted for you JGBR and you will be happy with the service. To all forum members if you have have a problem contact me directly on the above email and as regular forum members will know I get things fixed! to all the members who are saying EVGA are not good at customer warranty please email me your experience and any problems you have had so I can look into it for you. EVGA always do our best for you the consumer!!! If anyone else thinks were not so good at warranty, ask Gibbo what he thinks :)

Disappointed to read this as so many threads I have seen EVGA_Lee step in and sort things out. The OP will be fine now and good to see this type of customer support.

My Asrock board's sound is gone but I bet an Asrock rep wont jump in here and say it will be sorted or give me any kind of assurances at all.

I have to say - I called OCUK today in fact and asked about the warranty - they said they deal with it in the first year on all parts.

You should have dealt with OCUK - it's not only UK but EU law (in fact EU law goes for 2years)

I did ring OCUK and told them i bought it back in March and they said, No, its EVGA.

Anyway I posted it off to EVGA Germany yesterday not because of this Lee chap but because thats EVGA website said to do.

However I hold my ground that the collateral charge of 400 pounds that came up was unacceptable. It's now cost me the best part of 20 pounds to insure it and post it over and I will never see that money back, it surely EVGA's fault for a faulty card which i shouldnt have to pay any money towards.

Email your details to me...(the chap) and it will be sorted, if you dont email me I cant help. all users the system on-line is automatic, its always best to call us to discuss in person, as this is the fastest, and best way for you.JGBR contact me, and if I am a nice chap I will give you a free up grade...................... ;)

Postage is one of those.
I spent over £70 trying to sort out my p5k mobo with asus, only to waste time with them, and get no where (ended up them not releasing the bios was not up to date, and that my cpu was newer than the board, thus i couldn't go more than 2gbs of ram) long story short, i don't want to go through asus customer support ever again.

As for your claim. Makes me think twice about buying from ocuk now. That's unacceptable for me, for a company to say different things.

Now that's customer service for you. Props to evga here :)

Well i've emailed them so i will give feedback on the customer service side of things.

660ti has been confirmed by me ;) like I say you want good warranty, tech support, and a brand that listens buy EVGA. for the doubters I hope this restores your faith...even thou we always do this for OCUK forum members.

Good weekend all.

Yes no help with x79 motherboards new bios after months of trouble was just a usb keyboard update,as you can see i buy EVGA but if the support keeps up the way it is then these will be my last.

Dont get me wrong the warranty side and customer support is second to none so there is nothing wrong there Lee :)

evga lee, im a liitle upset that i had to pay £20 return shipping for my faulty 6 month old GTX 670. I dont see why i should have to cough up £20 for something that was your fault. When my monitor developed a fault earlier this year, samsung arranged collection at thier own expense, and too right since thier product failed.

RMA: 533212000212

To be fair to EVGA though Samsung monitors are specifically sold with an 'on-site' warranty (Which in practice means courier swapout) as part of the product offering whereas graphics cards are generally not. Therefore what you got from Samsung was part of the advertised product offering.
