Hi chaps,

Dont know if this is my psu thats causing the issue but my old 7850 was getting a higher framerate in allmost every game

My system is

Be quiet 530w psu
8gb ram
Z77 d3h motherboard
2tb hdd
7870 hawk 2gb

Ive tried different drivers and its still peforming crap lol

Any ideas?

For example in Max Payne 3 at high settings im getting just above 30 fps and the old 7850 i had was hitting 60 in places

Everything is super stuttery also :(

Sounds like a dodgy card if you rule out drivers and software. Have you tried uninstalling CCC then using driver sweeper then reinstalling latest ones?

Process of elimination.

Download the latest amd beta drivers+caps
http://www.mediafire.com/?og3egv509cqv895
http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/catalyst_application_profiles/amd_catalyst_12.8_cap3.exe

Download driver fusion
http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion

Install driver fusion
Un-install current driver+caps via add/remove progs
Reboot
Boot into safe mode
Run driver fusion
Scan AMD, delete all entries
Reboot
Install the drivers, after they're installed & before you get prompted to restart install the caps as well.
Restart pc

Has this fixed your problem? If not post back. :)

Caps are game specific tweaks that AMD provide to work with drivers to get the best possible performance for each gaming title.

I've included the link to the latest caps in my post.

Once or twice a month a new set of caps are released. Just remove the old set before you add the new ones and you'll be golden.

Ok mate thank you :)

Ill report back in 10mins or so.

Please stay around :D

It's cutting it fine though, and 7870's use slightly more juice than your old card,it certainly shouldn't stutter ect

Ok so there is still a tiny amount of stutter in skyrim when i first get put into the game

i turn left to right a few times and it stops

BF3 feels smoother aswell but still stutter frrom time to time

but its getting better :D

you want a kiss now or later :D
