MILLIONAIRE Tory Cabinet minister refers to police as " plebs " - Police fabricate evidence

Trying to exlain it to non cops is like nailing jelly to a wall but I mean no offence in saying that.

None taken, I could never understand being a class traitor and being used as a fist of the ruling classes to quell the poor by people who treat you as described in the OP.

"please sir, can I have some more"

It has always confused me why "pleb" is used as a term of denigration. It originally meant a middle class person. Now it seems to be synonymous with "ignorant commoner". When did that happen?

The ruling class have amassed power, to maintain that power they need a Police force to quell insubordination from the public and one that will turn a blind eye to their breaking of the law when they can, or simply not punish them when they are forced to.

Just look at the expense scandal from the MP's, claiming 10's of thousands of pounds worth of tax payers money fraudulently, 0 jail time and not even fired, vs that same crime committed by someone who claims to live alone when she really lives with her partner in a council house, for the same value of tax payers money, 4 years in jail for benefits fraud.

is it possible that an incident of negligible significance is used to score cheap political points?

if a copper cries like a little baby I'm not sure he should be left in charge of guarding Downing Str - grow some!

The DPG officer has more balls than you think. It takes far more courage to stand up for yourself and challenge obnoxious/irrational behaviour rather than ignore it and carry on. Even more so considering a senior politician was involved. If he speaks to an armed police officer who's guarding one of the most important gates in London like that, imagine what he's like with other people?

ignoring it and carrying on is precisely what this policeman should have done

we expect members of the police and armed forces to have a thick skin, be unflappable and perform their duties with a some dignity

creating an incident in this way is insulting to those hard working, loyal and self sacrificing men and women who have suffered a lot more than hurt feelings like this pleb

We expect senior politicians to be held accountable for what they say and do. To set an example and treat everyone in their workplace with dignity and respect. To abide by the rules put there for HIS OWN safety.

The officer is not armed, paid 30K plus, trained to the highest levels to stand their like a manikin and take abuse from someone within who is trying to flaunt the rules. The gates are there for protection, if you open the main gate needlessly for push bikes you allow an opportunity for a vehicle to ram it's way through. It's a basic security precaution which ****face wanted to waive because of his inflated ego.

I know a few of the boys and girls on DPG and they take LOADS of abuse. People rock up to the gates at all times of the day and call them all sorts of names. They ignore it. On this occasion the copper didn't over react and arrest him, he simply flagged this morons behaviour up with his federation. In my book, that is the correct thing to do. The federation made this public, i highly doubt the officer concerned stirred up the media by himself because he was asshurt.

The cop may have simply highlighted it to his Sergeant so that he was aware in case said minister decided to put a complaint in for incivility or some such. From there it has went up the chain and snowballed...

Alternatively he could be a cry-baby.

Personally I would have "advised" the MP discreetly to wind his neck in and watch what he is saying and, "although I may not run the government, I do know my place and that is to tell people like you when you ain't using the main gate now sod off, you're irritating me"....[/keyboard warrior] :p

What's he going to do, make a complaint and then place himself in a position to explain what he said to the cop for the cop to reply as such?

I like how Clegg has been on the news today at their conference, out of the car and straight up to two police officers enthusiastically shaking their hands before moving onto the dignitaries and croud.....

:D

It's not just the Police, its all the poors and working class.

My heart's bleeding here.....

Anyone who is dependent on the government is going to suffer in recession. People need to get over this fact. Labour have admitted they will cut too, after adding a few dozen billion to the national debt which will require further cuts and pain in the future...

The current government did not cause this recession, people need to get their heads around this too.
