Could it not increase in the same manner?
Could it not increase in the same manner?
wait until the government bend us over in January with a duty rise and deferred one from this year
It's annoyed me for a while that we pay double tax on fuel. The government adds fuel duty and then VATs the whole thing so you pay VAT on Duty i.e tax on tax![]()

You can partially blame the Bank of England - ridiculous interest rates and constant QE has killed the value of our currency, helping us to import lots of fuel price inflation from overseas.
QE doesn't seem to have worked but increase rates and the UK will grind to a halt as people reign in spending even more.
Those nasty Tory Toffs, Labour would see us right.
It amuses me when people do this kind of thing. The poster he was replying to merely said that the government will shaft us in January with a double duty increase yet the guy I have quoted takes it as an attack on the Tories.... May the guy was just stating a fact i.e. it will be a double duty increase which would occur regardless of what party was in power![]()

What happened ?
