US trip - what to bring back?

Right, a friend is going to US and I can ask her for whatever gadget I want them to bring back.

So what ideas do you have? Obviously things that I can either not get here, or get them much cheaper in the US. Also, small items that will fit in a carry-on bag.

My ideas so far are:

a) Basic Kindle (just $70 in the US) - but will it work in UK?? I mostly want to load my pdfs on it, not care so much about amazons ebooks.
b) ermmm..eh??

please submit your proposals and I'll consider them.

What I am not interested in:
1) mobile phones, got one I'm happy with it
2) GPU, got one ok, don't play many games

I know there have been threads like this before, but gadgets change all the time so the threads become obsolete quickly.
 
Ipad , that's about it , I cant think of anything else that's worth the bother as most stuff the price really is not that much different between the UK and US.

I don't get why people always post these threads, as if going to America is going off to Mount Olympus to bring back the nectar of the gods. If you don't even know what you want, surely you don't even need anything.

Narh, I saw 2 pairs of 501's on Saturday when I got 1 of them. In the past I have bought various Jeans there in my size.

Diesel, DKNY, All Saints, Duck & Cover, Levi's 504 and G-Star as well. I have like a dozen pairs of jeans from there, none are over £40, I think if I were taller I could've got a lot lot more, there are almost always something like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren etc in my waist size but 32 or 34 legs. I only wear 30. Plus I ignore brands such as Superdry, Tommy Hilfiger, any bootcut or skinny or carrot cut. Only get the cut that I want, brands that I want, colour that I want.
 
Levis, the ones that are harder to find over here namely 568s and 569s.

568s are an awesome fit, and probably about $30 a pair. Whereas over here they'd probably go for more than double that.

I'm going to Mount Olympus next week, already have nectar of the gods, what should I bring back? Any recommendations?
