Just picked up the new Asus 27 IPS Monitor

Just popped into OC and picked this bad boy up

Fantastic monitor, my 1st IPS monitor and it is the dogs !!!

Have it in the middle of 2 older 22inch HP's as my main monitor. Loving the colours, the resolution and well everything about it.

Yes is very nice, using it for number crunching, editing and video with the odd game such as Diablo and SkyRim

not sure what black bleed is.

Can you give some instructions on how to test and what to look for and I will happily do the test and report back.

Just make the room as dark as possible and turn the brightness of your monitor to 80%. Run this program http://www.dps.uk.com/download.php?file=4 and select a black screen. Now look if the blacks are even everywhere. If backled bleeding occurs then you will see bright spots on the edge of the panel. Thanks in advance!

LOL, I have heard of the Back Bleed with all monitors so will not be surprised if it does have it. Persoanally this is a massive step up from old HP 22inch 1680 mode monitor.

Yes you get LED Bleed around the corners on the monitor using the test above, but only noticeable if you look for it in a dark room on a black screen.

Still awesome monitor.

I hate my first ips waaaaay too bright had to turn it down to 10 brightness and 5 contrast or it burned my retinas out the viewing angles are great but I cant notice much of an improvement over my samsung 226bw but this is the Lg 235IPS, just goes to show what an awesome monitor the 226bw was

Matt finish which is nice for office with windows.

Yup Diablo and skyrim no problems for me. Not a FPS person so can't comment on them.

dont know if the sammy is worth the extra 300. but i do like a glossy screen!
