Decent fight. Can't see either of them contending with the "big boys" though. JDS, Reem, Cain, Werdum, Cormier, Mir and dare I say it, Nelson and Carwin.
 
Great showing from Dan. Really has improved since the Lytle fight, hugely well rounded in comparison to back then.

Those takedowns shocked me. Ayahuasca baby!

gunnar looked awesome with that machida karate stance and such composure for a ufc debut....

Brits did well, was surprised to see hardy mix in the take downs to steal it.... I think standup wise he would have got kicked and outpointed by amir almost.... did not expect the take downs at all.

Next week bigfoot vs browne !

aye I still think Bigfoot would have won knee or not. He looked in great shape and starting to go to work close him down grapple and land some heavy shots.

Brown was on his way down when he grabbed the fence. I think that would have been game over.

Bigfoot just seem to really want it. Thought the cage was about to fall apart when he jumped up onto it :D
 
I was puzzled by the commentary from Anik and Kenny "chokes in title fights" Florian when they were making Big Foot out to be this massive underdog. Have they not seen or research his career to date? Sure he's lost 2 straight but that doesn't make him the underdog against a dude who hasn't fought anyone at the same level.
 
a lot of jokes about bigfoot but you know what.... its bitter sweet when u end it with a knock out win like that :)

Batista won his MMA debut, pretty horribly though as his striking is terrible, but his head must be made of granite cause he took a billion punches. Really thought he'd dominate an old fat guy though tbh, although he did on the ground at least. Reminds me of when Lesnar debut'd, terrible striking but a hard head and dominant ground 'n pound. His striking is so weird though, it looked like he was slap fighting with some Akido ****, definitely needs to not do that. His clinch work was horrible too, he literally got out strengthed and out grappled by a fat guy against the fence. Honestly thought he'd just walk through this guy and KO him but he didn't, awkful striking.
