Best card I have seen in ages.

The silva fight I am lost for words what the hell, who on earth goes and stands back against the cage like that and just eats punches like he is having breakfast. Who ever said he wasn't all that when he was fighting Sonnen and was nut hugging Sonnen, how can you think otherwise? I mean WOW just wow.

Entire card was awesome though. The Maia fight was good he looked sharp. Phil Davis looked really good as well. Jon Fitch fight, he schooled that Silva so one sided it was like a kid in a wrestling match with his dad it was so one sided and dominant.
Silva doesn't eat punches, he's got epic reflexes and just rolls with the punches or slips out of range my millimetres and unleashes counters. I'm just amazed by the things he does because I know just how hard it is to even be calm enough in there to even think of yet alone doing them. The best ever!

He didn't roll every punch some of them landed and landed quite cleanly but he didn't even seem phased. His reactions and ability to slip though is just second to none, literally matrix type moves. Slip out counter from a strange angle no one seems it coming. Telling your corner to calm down and not to worry? Messes with the opponents head and must be so demoralising.

There is only one spider :)

He said afterwards he will move back to 185 and the answer to Jones is a big no....

So it aint happening no matter how much Dana gives him... its not happening

GSP on the other hand wont escape, I reckon once the spider beats GSP he will perhaps retire but he has mentioned he wants to fight for 5 more years, and he has said he will perhaps loose a few times within that time but hopes to try and leave the ufc unfinished, but I reckon he retires after GSP or another major name.

He wants to box. He says he's got 3 more fights currently with the UFC though the UFC contracts have a clause which states that if you're the champ you're obligated to remain under contract with them.

I'm not saying he doesn't get hit cleanly, I'm saying that a lot of times when it looks like he's getting hit cleanly he isn't getting the full impact of the punches because he times his movements to roll or move with the strike and so minimizing the impact. It's just unreal how he does it so well that even the ones he sees at the last split second he's still able to absorb.

How come Silva is so against fighting Jones? Does he not respect him after the way Jones backed out of UFC 151? I'm assuming Jones doesn't want to fight Silva because he's **** scared of him lol?

Silva didn't want to fight him as he says he has friends in that weight class and doesn't want to get in the way of their run to the title and they deserve the chance to get it not have him hijack it.

Shogun and Machida. Shogun and him used to train at Chute Boxe back in the day when Shogun was wrecking fools in PRIDE and now he's pals with Machida so I kind of understand what he's saying but it can be a non-title fight at a catchweight.

If that's the reason then it's decent of Silva. Realistically though, Silva has more chance of beating Jones than either of the above. They've both fought and lost to Jones, and only Machida seemed to cause Jones any kind of problems at all. Not that Silva wants a shot at Jones by the looks of things, but if he changes his mind I think he deserves a shot more than Shogun or Machida.

Jon Jones vs Sonnen on the next TUF. Just been announced by the UFC. Chael has no chance in the fight but will be great just for the smack talk over the next 6 months.

I don't think Chael really has a chance against Jones, he would get lit up striking and if he can take him down he is always at risk of being subbed.

I'd rather see Henderson take on Jones, but I don't think he can beat him either.

a lot of people thought he had no chance against Anderson Silva(me included) but look what he did in the first fight.

Anderson is not a wrestler so Chael had that over him as he's a top notch wrestler. There is no part of Chael's game that is better than Jon Jones.

He will get battered without a doubt. Good on Chael for talking his way in to a payday again tho.

However getting a wee bit annoyed that records don't count anymore and title shots are going to those who make the most noise.

Anderson fought him with a rib injury the first fight. That explains the easy takedowns and subpar striking. Just look how easily he clowned him in the second fight.

I wouldn't say "clowned him". Chael dominated the first round. Pushed the second round, got caught then tried a ridiculous spinning back fist which was the beginning of the end.

After seeing him put himself in the exact position where the pundits were saying Bonnar needs to put Silva to beat him I'm starting to think Silva allowed Chael to take him down to prove a point.

Anyway, the fact remains that Anderson Silva has only lost to Asian opponents so the UFC should import 10 Japanese fighters and put them all up in the cage at the same time to fight him.. 10 against 1. lol
