Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

You get an awful gun that you have to aim at the floor to be able to hit things in front of you (funny thing is that isn't a **** take, that's actually what the gun does).

In this day and age, after so many games have done these massive arena style challenges, you'd of thought they'd learn to give you decent rewards by now.

The difficulty level is really broken. One minute you're mowing down enemies really easily, the next, you get killed in one shot and go into ffyl instantly. There's no in between. To make the game more challenging by making you die in 2 shots is quite a cheap way of doing it.

I've never played this game because the first one didnt appeal to me - but this one does and I think I'll get it a few months after release when its cheaper.

I just had a question - will it be possible to disable the scores that appear when you shoot & kill the bad guys? You know when you shoot something a number appears above it for a few secs before fading out (I guess this shows how may points youve got?).Is there a way to stop those scores appearing?

Thanks.

its the amount of damage each shot/elemental effect has inflicted.
Not through the options menu, there may be a way to so it through mods/file editing, cant say i've ever felt the need to remove it, so never looked into it.
Just out of curiosity, any particular reason why you want it removed?

I speak for myself here - I find it really distracting and annoying lol. When I shoot the bad guy I just want them to drop (like in Fallout 3) without a damage figure floating about. I find things like this a real distraction and immersion-killer. It also makes it a bit "arcade" for lack of another word!

Id still like the damage score to be registered of course - but not to keep appearing above the enemy after you waste em :)

I think Borderlands isn't really an immersive game. It's kinda all about that detachment. The comic book style, the humour, the graphic design element - they all add up to something which is supposed to be light hearted and fun rather than a time sink RPG.

Also its worth pointing out that if the first didnt appeal to you, the second is really more of the same.

Not trying to put you off, it's the funniest game since portal and extremely well executed.

I wish the game were far far longer and far far bigger as that what it really needs I wish it was 300+ hours to complete.

Awesome game but as ever personally I am going to find it way too short.

I wish it was online too and you could join servers so at any moment you could bump in to another player and kill them or them you so you could be play through the single player yet have that pvp element thrown in as well.

You make good points, I just said that because I read somewhere that they have executed the 2nd game a bit better etc. And I have heard a lot about the insane number of guns you can get :D

I really like the look of its comic-style graphics. A refreshing change.

It has it's uses though . It can determine if a gun is good agaist that type of mob and also where to hit it for best effect . It can look abit messy with a really fast smg on a tough mob but i like it personally .

And on the point of guns aiming off.. I have a 900 damage explosive pistol atm and it rocks !! BUT the dam thing when not zoomed in is a real pain as u have to aim a foot below where you need to target . Those little spiderlet things are the worst !! Bu there to fast and close to zoom so have to aim a foot in front to kill them .. And those dam flying buggys .. ARGHHHHHHHHH so hard to hit with slow bullet speed

It is about 150 hours if you want to complete every misc. challenge (i.e jump up to the broken railroads in Caustic, collect all of the ECHO's, not stuff like 5000 SMG kills).

Then about another 60 hours for NG+, another 30 or so hours to get all of the number challenges and that's just one character, most people will playthrough almost fully with at least two characters. That's well over 400 hours, some people might even put 1,000's in spanning across all 4.

What this game really needs is more of a multiplayer feel, keep it how it is but have more ways to actually make use of being a level 50 with 100000000 damage guns.

Far from a short game though. If you complete all side quests etc its easily 60+ hours.

Longer than 90% of games out there.

Really annoyed at the **** luck I get on the bandits and in general weapon hunting. All my equipment are 5 levels behind my character. The only time I had something worthwhile keeping for some time was when I accidentally opened the key chest in sanctuary and got a purple grenade mod which lasted from lvl 6 to 12-13.

Got another key from signing up to that thing but none of the other keys on here have worked. That's 4 in total within the time limit not being able to use. Wanted to keep my last key till I hit lvl 50, may have to use it (lvl 24 now) in hope I can get some gear which will take me to the next level, as right now my stuff isn't cutting it.
