Yet another case of Muslim mobs acting like barbarians.... just what is it that makes them think they can burn and steal for the most pathetic of excuses?.

The odd nutter i can accept, all religions get them.... but this anger and hatred for anyone non Muslim seems to be a theme now. Surely they realise this is MORE likely to provoke action against them?

I know a few muslims and they are just as baffled as to why the mere mention of a dispoiled koran in these countries causes riots and deaths, over something so small.

As Lister once said "they're just using religion as an excuse to be *cruddy* to each other!" or is there some underlying evil behind the muslim mentality of victimisation right now?

Heat, sand and people don't mix well.

My view is that the problem is that basic human rights i.e. freedom of speech and freedom of religion don't overlap with Islam as well as other religions. Muslims treat Islam as a way of life, to the extent that they even consider it to be the law.

I read the article and what happened in this case deserves to be bashed, but I won't say anymore than that because I don't want a permaban.

Ah the weekly Muslim bashing thread

Yeah i agree.. Where? The OP asked a perfectly reasonable question. It seems some Muslims have a very very light trigger when it comes to violence..

I also know a few Muslims and they too have no idea why on earth such small things trigger such hatred and violence towards others.

My dad has a theory.
Where the church of England, Catholic church appoint and have a file and rank system, any Muslim that screams louder than those around him can call himself a Preacher.

But, really they need to get more blowjobs over there, it's like watching teenagers get angry at their mom and dad.

I would delete this thread...don't want ocuk to be the reason for ww3...just look at what problems the youtube video brought on!

I still think it's limited to a few Muslims comparatively. However, in that culture, the religion is embedded deeply into their culture and "part of who they are", and as such things that are seemingly "anti" Islam, for some reason, are also seen as a reproach on their culture/identity.

We take exception to people mocking the Brits, or aspects of our culture - however whilst we don't react in quite the same way, for them that is how they feel they need to react.

I'm not condoning the actions - I think it's disgraceful - however, unfortunately a lot of these ill-educated people use religion as their martyr for which they justify their retribution from, rather than identifying other aspects of their cultural imbalances.

I have muslim friends so im far from a muslim "basher" thank you. I simply do not understand why the outrage is so extreme when it happens when compared to other religions? its a perfectly normal question.

I myself have always been religion free but i respect anyone's right to believe what they wish as long as it doesnt hurt anyone else. In the case above they robbed and attacked innocent people, whom it appears that they're only "crime" was to be non muslim and hence victimised.

My friends inform me that theyre understanding of muslim teachings is that to hurt or kill an innocent is a crime that cannot be forgiven and totally abbhorrent to islam? so why does it happen?

I suspect it is a case of power and ability to do what people in a "mob" require. The religious side of it is totally unimportant... much in the way the spread of chritianity chose to ignore its own ideals and kill, hack and slaughter its way to dominance.

Pretty much how I see it.

The religion is more than just a religion, it's an entire culture.

Which to be honest makes it more of a cultural problem (compared to a religious one).

It is worth noting the similarities between fundamentalist Muslims & Christians (in that both groups usually try to enforce personal subjective religious viewpoints on the rest of the population using the law).

sexual frustration. seriously.
I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some truth in that.

Most religions/some cultures seem to have a very mentally unhealthy views of sexuality/female purity - which often leads to gross levels of homophobia & female oppression, not to mention warping the views of the men.

although back when they were taking slaves/concubines they were even MORE violent. So maybe it isn't a sex thing?

Sam Harris has an interesting take on Muslims. Something at the core of their belief that is quite unsettling...
However, I digress. It seems any excuse to act like cavemen and they are all over it.

If they arent burning flags or valentines cards, they are looting homes and burning down temples now
B'cos thats in the Quran innit...

EDIT: Forgot to add it's the minority of Muslims etc
