Is this actually *that* impressive? (David Blaine)

I remember when he did his London stunt and my friends would sit there and watch it on TV for hours.

Yes, a man in a box, doing nothing...for hours.

Right.
 
It'll look impressive for the first few mins like lightening normally is, after that it becomes a bit of a let down...

I assume this is how David Blaine is in the sack
 
why didn't he stick to close up street magic?

this crap he keeps churning out is dull, egotistical and irritating.

P=IV, it's not quite as clear cut as it's often made out to be. Not only does it depend on what sort of current it is, but also what path it takes through your body. Which it won't be doing anyway, since he's inside a Faraday cage.
 
I didn't know that David Blaine was still doing this stuff. It was about this time in 2002 (so 10 years ago) that a housemate played his Jackass video and it had some of these aforementioned David Blaine stunts at the end of the tape. One of the stunts included being locked in a hanging cage for so many days and people were beating drums around him at night trolling him as it kept him awake.

It was only entertaining when someone shot at him using a paintball gun. :D

I found it particularly enjoyable when someone flew a RC Helicopter and hovered it around the box and it had a tray of bacon sammiches attached to it :D
 
Only thing I've ever seen of David Blain that entertained me was when people were throwing eggs at him & eating Maccy D's whilst he sat in that plastic box. Now that was entertainment. :p

So, unless people can go through stuff at him I'm out. :D
