Does Anyone here have SAD?

So true.

I also like the winter, for some reason I prefer the dark nights.

me too always been a winter fan. I love crisp cold winters mornings too when the sun glimmers on the frost ooooooh yeah makes walking 4 miles to work very satisfying :o (I don't walk in the rain though CBA sitting in wet clothes all day even though I love the rain and I love the warm humid weather before a good storm. )

Those crisp winter mornings and afternoons are great. That clear blue sky and really refreshing air. :D

I suffer from SAD to a little extent, not at all bothered by the weather, I love a good storm, but the short daylight hours in winter have genuine physiological affect which intern causes psychological issues - mostly mild depression, lethargic mode and chronic tiredness, lack of motivation, lack of energy and sometimes feeling sick.

Best solution i found is to regularly get up to the mountains where it is invariably much sunnier and brighter in the snow, much stronger UV helps vit D production. Even when it is sunny in winter in the lowland areas of ost of the world there is a lot of haze, fog, mist that reduces the suns strength such that it often doesn't help too much. up in the mountains you can get badly sun burnt in mid January and can go snow blind the sun is so bright. The energy boost is massive. When i drive back down to the lowlands and everyone complains at the cold and dank weather I laugh with my sun tanned face.

The mood difference between me on a Monday after a weekend skiing compared to Thursday stuck in the office for days at a time is massive
