Police search for missing 5 year old in Wales

They must have some rather extensive evidence to be keeping him this long.

If they had such evidence they would arrest him.

I really hope that this doesn't turn into another fiasco, seems they have thrown all their eggs into one basket just like Joanne Yates. When ever this happens and with such media I don't quite believe them, since the Yates fiasco.

I'm starting to think they have little or no evidence, maybe clutching straws?
If they had any solid ground he would be charged, now they have arrested him for murder without a body? Sounds like ploy to get the extension they needed for further time to pull something out the bag.

Although, if that was him walking on the river bank and being around the school a few hours before she went miss does make him more suspect than others.

Poor little girl, the parents need speaking to over why she was even out at such an hour at her age.

Welsh news has just reported that he has been arrested on suspicion of April's murder. :(

I hope they have got something on him, I really do. If not they've ruined someone's life and potentially prevented the safe return of a little girl.

On the way to Birmingham yesterday from Aber and there was police at ever station on the way and at Shrewsbury police watched every person who left the train then walked through the carriages.

they're just making sure no one escapes Birmingham.

No, news conference at 3pm. From watching sky news there appears to be a lot less urgency with the searchers today. Some of the boats like the sonar one haven't even launched yet.

This is quite odd, the police usually never release the details of the suspect. In the Soham murders case for example it was the media who found out the name whereas here it was the police who confirmed Mark Bridger's details to the media which initially looks like they had him banged to rights.

But the fact they haven't charged him seems a bit strange after releasing his details to the media.
