Doubt it, everyone has the right to silence and you can't be charged for that (unless it's a speeding fine which weirdly has an exception to that rule).

True, although I dont understand why they would charge him with it. Unless he's being telling them information that was incorrect.

Suppose he confessed to kidnapping and murdering April but refused to say where her body was.

That would justify the charge and explain the continued searching for her.

Something just doesn't seem right here.

I know there's little chance of it ever coming to light, but I'd like to see what "evidence" they have.

Thing is, if he had confessed to it why wait so long to charge him. Surely they would have not bothered going back to court to apply for an extension to detain if they had something like a confession. It doesn't make any sense but then nothing about this whole sorry indecent makes any sense.

It is worrying that they are convinced he has abducted and killed her, yet still cannot find a body.

I kind of felt yesterday they would charge him regardless. I think the body may have washed out to sea.

It will come to light when it comes to court (ergo the evidence they have).

BTW, to the people who earlier asked how you could charge someone with murder without a body need look no futher than Ian Brady. He has been convicted of killing Keith Bennett despite no body. There was also a guy recently convicted of killing his wife despite the facte her body hadn't been found.

If it was true that you couldn't convict a murderer without a body if would be a scary world.

* Police say he is entitled to a fair trial an ask public/media not to undermine this

* Public thanked by police for help given

* Time for official process to take course and family to grieve asked for

I feel sorry for the guys kids, You know how cruel other kids can be in school. Can you imagine going to a school where you dad is known for killing a fellow classmate?

What's the evidence they have then ? If they have this, surely it will give clues to where the body is ?

The evidence they have is none of our business. Stop being impatient and wait til it gets to court if you want to know all the gory details.

They have, the CPS have just spoke in a press conference and said they sufficient evidence to charge this monster with Murder / Adduction / Perverting the course of justice.

The CPS were up all night apparently making sure they had enough evidence to charge, clearly they have.

Not going through 6 pages of 80 posts, but I'm pretty sure it was said they had video evidence at one point, of him carrying a black bag towards a river. Channel 4 news team caught it?! Unless this has been proven to be someone else. I'd say thats pretty good evidence

Always a concern when you have no body.

In the past the police have been known to get a bee in their bonnet with regards to suspects like Chris Jeffries and Colin Stagg in the Rachel Nickell murder.
