*** League of Legends ***

Purdy do you even like lol, for some reason I have it in my head you don't but can't be bothered to look back through previous posts.

if you took everyone who thought it was been amateur you wouldn't have many people watching it

I really can't understand this however many times I read it :)

TSM even said they played badly, even if they got first blood they may not have won with the way they played. Also there are pictures of TSM players looking at the screen too.

I'm not saying they played well, but if that didn't happen and they got first blood like they should have it could have changed the game.

You mean the video of Dyrus looking? that's already been proved that he looks over to AF and see's them looking, so he checks it out and then facepalms as he realizes they know where they are, Regi even called over an official and told them about it.

Who's racist? A Riot staff member or event organiser or...? I don't follow the LoL competitive scene (I only watch the actual matches occasionally), but I've not got the impression that anyone has been racist to anyone else at this event from what I've watched.

No one in Riot as far as I'm aware unless MsPudding and Noem were, I'm referring to Maliken the owner of S2 who make HoN which used to be a good game but is now garbage but was always ran by a racist.

Even Dreamhack has had issues, such as Alienware laptops overheating and causing a reset. Riot is still new to this, especially on this large a scale, people need to cut them some slack but as usual like true LoL player attitude, people just continue to rage and whine. Yes there were issues but people seem to just keep repeating themselves over and over with complaints. Just let Riot continue the tournament in their new location and lets see how it goes from there.

League is owned by someone worth 100s of millions are they not? They should not **** up a tournament which is potentially life changing for many of these teams.

Playing the tournament outside without considering sun/glare was hilarious.

Yes you are right, I can't even begin to explain that statement, jesus its bad. Actually I meant to put in has instead of was but still worded poorly.

I don't like LoL to play but I'll happily watch a huge tournament even if the gameplay is passive due to the fact spells do pretty much nothing just to see a few big team fights we granted seem to just turn into chases most of the time quickly but as posted back the CLG reaction stuff is great., it has been nothing short of a shambles though. I mean by going on http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends you can see a large number of people think it was a disaster.

I have to admit as someone that used to play but enjoys watching it now more so than actually logging on and playing it was a shambles.

If your going to be running a tournament with 2mil in prizes on the line then it needs to be done properly. Having booths that the players sit in like the recent Dota Internatioals, to stop the players peeking at the minimap and being able to hear commentators and the audience. Also doing it inside, so players do not have sunlight in their eyes making a game get paused to rectify this.

The main one though is needing a LAN option so internet dropouts do not happen period. It was annoying the first time, but 15 minutes in not much had been done albeit WE were ahead. Now the 2nd one CLG.EU were 50+ minutes into a game and looked like they were about to win and then it cuts out again. It then happened again in the remake and once again after.

If they want to make a big name for themselves, which they already have done then they need to fix these little/big things. I reckon they will add a LAN mode very very soon.

PS. Snoopehs kill with Cho flashing over the brush into Noc and just killing him before the last ignite ticked saving himself was absolutely amazing.

This would be a big deal for lan events (not just the championship events).

In case people didn't read the latest news, the CLG.eu vs WE match will start at 1am BST, and the 2 semi final matches will be after it. Also there was an update about the accusations of cheating a few min ago, and here is what he said:

RedBeard - VP of eSports said:
Hi everyone,

We’ve completed a comprehensive investigation of all alleged incidents of players looking at the venue screen at the World Playoffs. Our full rulings are posted by bitingpig below, but here’s the tl;dr:

We evaluated these cases based on intent, severity and tangible impact to the course of the game. Based on our investigation, the Azubu Frost incident is the only one where we determined there to be tangible impact – we believe other members of AzF modified their gameplay (level 1 ping and Jayce brush check) based upon the information gained. We don’t believe, however, that these actions decided the winner of the game.

Per our rules we are issuing a fine of $30,000* for unsportsmanlike conduct. Proceeds will go to our charity program in Korea.

Here are summaries of our findings on the other incidents:

Quarterfinal #4, Game 3 (CLG.EU v. Team WE) at 19:24 on the game clock – WE WeiXiao looked up at the venue screen. Practical benefits to Team WE were limited - Corki’s moves after WeiXiao’s look would have been logical, whether he saw Sona’s position on the venue screens or not. We have determined this to be unsportsmanlike and have issued a warning.
Group Stage A (IG v. SK) at 13:00 on the game clock – iG Zz1tai looked over his right shoulder at the screens. From our analysis, there was no material impact to the game. We have determined this to be unsportsmanlike and have issued a warning.
Quarterfinal #3, (restarted) Game 1 (AZF v. TSM) during game pause – TSM Dyrus turned his head to determine whether it was feasible to see the minimap screens from the stage. TSM obtained no direct meaningful benefits from Dyrus’ action as the game was restarted, but we have issued a warning.
Quarterfinal #2, Game 1 (TPA v. NaJin Sword) at 4:11 on the game clock - TPA Stanley briefly looked to his left, then looked forward and adjusted his monitor. We’ve determined he was responding to glare issues. The position of all five players of NaJin Sword was already visible to TPA at this time. While Stanley violated the referee’s instructions to look forward at all times, there was no unsportsmanlike conduct.

*20% of current tournament winnings.

We take this stuff seriously. Our rules on sportsmanlike conduct are clearly communicated to competitors, and our decisions here are based on those rules. More importantly, this sort of behavior shouldn’t have been possible in the first place, and we recognize that and have taken steps to ensure it doesn’t happen in the future.

This link: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=30085464 has the full details of each infraction from the 2nd post onwards if you want to read in more detail about it.
