is this how fps is now ?

BF3 is decent, or was. Not played for ages.

CoD and MoH seem to be practically the same these days.

1.6 is a proper FPS game :(

I forgot I bought deus ex 3 when it was on offer, though I dont expect it to be decent.

The first one I've played like 10 times and it never gets old, its like the perfect combination of a future setting gun based shooter game with lots of strategy and RPG elements added on top, you really had to use your head to get through the levels, sneak a lot and take down enemies without getting spotted, it was just perfection.

Basically now unless a shooter game is as good as that was, I cant enjoy it. I also really like heretic / hexen because of the fantasy settings and weapons, and also MDK 1 + 2 and Giants Citizen Kabuto, but in recent years the FPS genre just doesnt interest me, pretty much since Halo / Far Cry / Crysis type games became the mainstream.
 
Will reserve judgement until I play it but to be honest I am so tired of Military shooters, I really do not know how people buy and play CoD year after year. Call of Duty 4 was the best FPS in my opinion after Quake 3, since then they have been clones of each other.

Battlefield 4 needs to come with 128 players and maps designed for PC for me to buy it. Right now Planetside 2 is all I need for FPS.

Same I really can't get into any FPS right now, RPG all the way for me just because the stories are normally really good. Saying that though I have just got into Future Soldier I know it is third person and not first. But it plays really well now after the latest patches. I always play 2 games in case I get bored of one, Future Soldier online fits the slot if bored of my main game right now.
 
All I seen when I skipped into the video a few times was like, driving little vehicles and using some machine guns mounted onto sandbags. People who be hating BF3, it's a good game, at least I think it's better than half the arcade shooters.

Trouble is, that doesn't say to much about the other arcade shooters. I still think Black Hawk Down multiplayer beats most FPS games online.

Deus Ex 3 is surprisingly awesome. You owe it to yourself to play it. It's much better than I expected it'd be.

Yeh I was a lemming for about 130hrs , but then that was before we knew how ea/dice were going to treat the community and the path the game was going to take. Besides my lemming gained a much higher IQ and didn't jump off the cliff with all those expansion packs(premium editions)

I felt like i've walked past the halo booth at a gaming convention and said Halo Sux :D
