So i wana change my CPU fan as i have been using a Fan Mate 2 with my current fan and cooler as pictured below but wanting to move to a 4-pin PWM setup on my Zalman CNPS10X Quiet..

Question is.. which is the best fan to replace with? Needs to be 120mm and LED or not wont matter and i want it to be one cable that goes straight to the CPU Fan Connector. Looking for 1500rpm or higher (current fan speed on my Zalman Quiet is 1400rpm) but still want it to be fairly quiet and also some time in the future i'd like it to be used on a Rad if i go for a water cooler like an All In One.

So far i have been looking at this one..

Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro Fan PLPS - 120mm PWM

Cheers :)

Cheers Brian.. I was looking at that one but the yellow seems like it'll look really odd in my case,do they have the same with black fins? I cant find it unless u meant the Akasa AK-FN058 Apache Black Super Silent but that only goes up to 1300rpm.

I see Fan speed: 600 -1900 RPM for the Venom which Brian linked and Fan speed: 600 -1300 RPM for the others. Did i miss something?

Might have to go with the Akasa AK-FN058 Apache Black Super Silent as it has better Max static air pressure 26.40 mm-H2O as opposed to only Max static air pressure: 2.98 mm H2O on the Venom < unless thats a typo??? Seems like it.

So after a little research on the Akasa website it looks like the typo is on both the Apache Black Super Silent and Apache Super Silent and should be > Max static air pressure 2.64 mm H2O.

Might have to go for the Venom and put up with the yellow colour.. was hoping to keep a Blue/Black/Silver colour scheme although there is yellow on my HX 520. :)

Hi mate,

If you really don't like the yellow once it's in your case, you could always spray the fins. Seems pretty simple and I'm sure a couple of peeps on here could help you with what to do :)

Tbh yellow is nasty. 1300RPM should be plenty for the Akasa Apaches. Maybe put the current fan on the back as push pull?

No way of getting a second fan on the other side unless i use zip ties.

I really dont wana be spraying fins on a fan :)

Might go for a Corsair SP120 Quiet.. If they aint 4-pin i guess i can still use my Fan Mate 2 which i have.. the dial of the Fan Mate is set up so its sticking through one of the water cooling holes just under the rear case fan :p
