Final Fantasy 7

I've just recently started playing this game today and OMG I can't believe I've missed out on this game for so long.
I'm only about 2 hours into this game but it's got me sucked in with the story line and the nostalgia factor just playing the game makes me feel like I've just time warped back to 1997-8.
Due to the re-release has anyone else started playing this game recently?

I've played it, but I've never completed it, I have trouble getting into it. I'm most likely going to get flamed for that statement haha.

Pretty sure someone released proper music packs that you just drop into the folder.

Indeed they did with "The Black Mages" covers, Also you can mod the PC version but I still like to play the original on my PC (emulator) and more recently on my Galaxy S3.

Yeah runs fine, few hick ups setting up but works wonders. If you don't like touch screen I do believe you can use a PS3/XBOX pad.

The midi music is half the nostalgia value lol.
Sicko I know what you mean but I just persevered and some how managed to get hooked on it, I really wish I played this at release though.

I've still got the Playstation version, I've got within about 30 mins of the end, and then my brother in law accidentally deleted it, then it happened a second time, and after the third I didn't have the heart to try again

I have it on my PSP, PSone version and the PC one that was released this year. I would have sold my PSP years ago if I didn't have a memory card with this, FFVIII and Metal Gear on it! ......and if anyone would actually buy them

If only, I spent many a night on that game reading everything and becoming very obsessive with the story line. Who knew a game could make you happy, depressed, lost and feeling disconnected with reality at the same time.

I have an original FF7 PC, Platinum re-release and the PS1 version myself. One of my most treasured possessions the original.

No it's not, original PSX release didn't use midi music.

I think FFIX is a much better game than VII, I think the only reason people rave about VII so much is because it's probably the very first FF game they played.
