*** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note II Thread ***

Might give them a call again! Today or tomorrow...and see if they have changed their pricing for existing customers as you guys said....might be last chance for them and me ;)

Called T-mobile to check on the Note2.

Unsurprisingly they have no idea what is happening. This guy was at least reasonable enough to say that he had no idea about stock levels or when they will get the phones in, rather than fobbing me off with false info.

I'm considering just pulling the plug and going for a deal on Three. I can get unlimited data and 500 minutes for £34/month, with a £69 upfront cost. Download speeds still aren't great in my area, but they're improving.

I'm getting annoyed with T-mobile's attitude to existing customers, and their lack of knowledge. I don't really fancy throwing money at them for the next 24 months...

edit; £60 cashback also on the Three deal via topcashback.

Really am confused at how I managed to upgrade today then.
Is it just a case of you are holding out for a better offer from them or did they not even offer the phone as an upgrade for the same price as a new customer?

The rep made no indication that this was a new line I was taking out. Should defo be an upgrade.

What deal did you get, is it the same as on-line or a better deal?

I'm taking a gamble and on the phone to O2 right now to cancel my contact and buy myself out, which means that it will phone-less on the 17th Nov, by then EE will be up and running and hopefully pick up a grey Note 2 LTE on 4G from EE

It's the same Full Monty 36 as available online (2000mins, Ult txts, Ult web). Was just straight to the point when I called up saying what phone I wanted upgrade to and what tariff I wanted it on. After a bit searching the system she came back with a handset price (£129, same as the web price) and I paid by card for the handset (money yet to be taken). Never had any intentions of haggling or asking what offers I get as an existing customer.

Yet, if you take out a second line you can get £120 cashback. It just seems off to me that such bonuses are available on new lines but not on upgrades.

Well, you could call T-Mobile again to see how your order is progressing ... I wouldn't put it passed them to have wrongly put the upgrade up for you.

I think it will be. They've done too much advertising and made too much noise about it. Also this thing just isn't as popular as the iPhone 5, for a joke I tell them I'm interested in the i5 to be told a month wait to get it, that's how popular it is! Wow.

I take it back. "I think it will be" I said, meaning it'll ship on 15th, how wrong was I!?

Spoke to T - mobile this morning, they are shipping note 2 lte from 22nd Oct, still no idea of price increase on top of existing tariff for ee 4g

That would fit with the 7-10 days expected delivery time I was told this morning when upgrading. Still surprised nobody else has been able to pre-order their upgrade as such.

Also quite shocking how T-Mobile appear to have no continuity with different people being told different things from some staff pleeding ignorant to release dates and others giving variations of expected dates and such.

Just to add more confusion into the mix:

I called them again this afternoon, to see if I could get hold of someone with more information. Rather than calling 150 number I called the direct number instead (0800 956 2208). The woman who answered said that she was well aware of the situation with the Note2 - that they had been expecting the phones to arrive today, but that there had been a delay. She said everyone who had pre-ordered the Note2 would get a text tomorrow morning informing them when their order would be shipped. She said that limited numbers of phones would start shipping from tomorrow for those who ordered early.

No idea whether there is any more truth to this than any of the other things people have been told, but this woman did at least sound confident that she knew what she was talking about. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I've lost confidence in all of their reps. Don't believe a word they say lol. Terrible. But here's hoping.

T-Mobile's customer support has been all over the place. I called up to upgrade &/or renegotiate my contract & wasn't offered anything attractive till I asked for my PAC code to leave. Then as soon as I hung up they called back & offered me a half decent SIM only deal. Daft they didn't do this the first time to keep me.

Another epic battery day and a first for me. About once a month I go to my works HQ and set off early about 5am and get back about 8pm. No smartphone has ever lasted the day and I usually charge my phone during the day while I am there. Tried the Note 2 and it completed the task with bells on it :D

Phone was used extensively with email, texting, S Pen and Internet. Heavy on the phone as well with 3 and a half hours used for calls all on Bluetooth. I didnt hold back like I normally do and people in the office were playing with the phone as they had not seen one.
