Yeah, but now he's going to live in jail. I bet that's worse than a noisy neighbour.
He's going to have some rapey neighbours...

I would imagine that he convinced the jury that he had no plan to use the knife. Given the circumstances, it's possible he took it along for protection, as he was likely aware that there were a lot of people in the flat. If he planned to hurt or kill her from the outset, it would seem a tad silly to do it with so many witnesses. If there was no intent to use the weapon, and the attack was spur-of-the-moment, then it;s not murder.
The facts must be fascinating.... stabbed her with a knife and killed her, yet manslaughter!
He must have raged, id have gave her and one of a friends a drug overdose, turned the music loud and then stood outside shouting and calling the police.
Do you think I'd get done for murder or manslaughter?
Everyone has their breaking point. I can't blame him really. Noisy neighbours can be mental torture sometimes.
Prosecutors alleged the knifing happened in the early hours of Saturday, July 23, 2011, about 40 minutes after Lyon told another neighbour he was going to kill Miss Dyer if she did not stop playing music which was keeping him awake.
She had been due to be evicted from her flat above his home in Chapel Street, St Helens, three days later following repeated complaints by Lyon about her noisy conduct.
While she was no doubt a nuisance she didnt deserve to die for it.
unlawful wounding at Liverpool Crown Court
and our thoughts remain with the family of Heather Dyer and with William Taylor, who was seriously injured during the incident.
I swear people in this part of the forum post nonsense like this to get a reaction, am I wrong?
You obviously never experienced noise pollution first hand.
When you can't get sleep because of it your mental state becomes erratic. Sleep deprivation is actually a form of torture.

Try as I might I'm finding it hard to have any sympathy for Heather Dyer! She was served with an eviction notice for excess noise and obviously didn't care about the poor guy who had the misfortune of living in the flat below.

You are all idiots, if you can condone taking a persons life over some noise, you need a reality check, seriously.
If you have noisy neighbors and don't like it, move house/flat/area, or get them evicted, she had 3 days left before being evicted.
