So, remember when Lidl sold a track pump for £5? Well, mine broke within like a week of my buying it.

Give me a good reason why I shouldn't replace it with this. I don't pump my tyres beyond 120, and Blackburn are well rated so... anything I'm missing?

I have that pump, I can't fault it, the locking bit is very good, my mate has a slightly different one and his pops off at high psi. Had it for about 10 months now.

It doesn't really diminish my cycling. If I'm riding fixed gear, my legs tend to beef right up and it slows my running down, but mainly because I'm carrying additional weight on my legs. It definitely stops my knees getting painful on the bike. However, when I'm running long distances, like at the end of the summer when I've been entering a lot of events, the running has forced weight off my legs. I've not noticed it slow me down though.

I've been running for a long time but only took cycling up about 3 months ago.
I thought I would be Bradley Wiggins within a week because of all my running but nothing could be further from the truth.
I suppose I could say that I'm still struggling on two hills I have to ride up but I am a lot better.
I am running my fastest times also.

I'm currently training for a half marathon and haven't done as much running as I should but I am running at my fastest ever pace because of the amount of cycling I do. I think they go hand in hand.
Thanks guys. Your comments go some way to confirming my concern that I'm doing something wrong. I suspect I am not cycling enough at the moment, as I have been running instead. I will have to remedy that once I recover from the injury I picked up today falling off my bike.

Been there and done that too, i then got a BBB track pump and its much better but not great - im going to get a lezyne steel track pump next!

they do different versions with cheaper/dearer materials

You change job almost as often as you change bikes.

/me runs and hides ;)
Pfff :p. This would only be the third job of my career.

I'm much more of a whore when it comes to bikes :D.

Edit: Believe you me: I'll be buying a new bike to celebrate if I do get this job!

ahhhhhh :| so i bought a hybrid all good etc, got it delivered built it up and all is fine - haven't had a chance to ride it yet.

come today - decathlon sends me an email "hey your order has been dispatched"

now as i have said they returned the money back to my bank, no emails no calls nothing and i bought another bike.

i have tried to register on their site but they wouldn't send a confirmation email and now they have dispatched the bike!

obviously the triban 3 is a better bike out of the two and suits my needs better! but what do i do with the hybrid ?!

or do i just refuse the delivery and get my money back?!

what would you lot do?

GRRRR! So my bike isn't ready today. Going to have to try again tomorrow.

So no trainer tonight, no cycling in my lunch hour tomorrow, can't do anything Saturday, and it is ******* it down on Sunday. In a huff now!

i would! but i can't afford to! sell brand new hybrid(Hopefully get what i paid for it?) and keep triban 3 or refuse delivery of the triban 3 :(

Did you buy the hybrid online? Return it under the distance selling regulations and take the Triban 3 from Decathlon.

yup, but its out of the box and all built? will they take it back?

guess returning it will be a problem too as the box is HUGE and 18kg+

I believe they have to take it back. As far as returning it goes... I'm not sure how you'd do that, but it depends on the cost compared to the benefit of getting a better bike!

Just bought some retro jerseys on eBay for £10 each, perfect for putting over some base layers in the winter.

i guess you're right, there's some paint damage too so its another reason why i would want to return it.

Ill email them and see what they say.

Thanks

Funky looking jerseys!

I'm officially sad...I spent £20 on some carbon/Ti skewers to save 60g of weight.:o

In my defence, that is a great £/g ratio!
