Did my sis just buy the worst tablet deal ever?

Just called her and she hasn't received it yet. Even after I explained clearly how you just have to Google this company and the tablet to see how rubbish they both are, and said that I'd buy a Nexus for her she still wouldn't say that she would take it back.

We live at opposite ends of the country so I can't march her down there. Some people.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

£350...begger's belief!

Well if you tried your best then leave her to stew on her stupidly expensive mistake.

Its the only way some people will learn but even then some people dont:p.

Still id tell her to cancel it if she can and either get you to buy her a tablet or buy one that you recommend.

I really have tried my hardest to get her to take it back. I told her how the company is not very nice, how the extended warranty is overpriced and unnecessary, how the tablet itself is worth about £100, how much better tablets are available for HUNDREDS of pounds less, how she isn't entitled to a such a luxury item and that she should have been prepared to wait, how anyone with half a brain can see that this is a bad, bad deal.

But I might as well have been talking to the wall.

Oh well, at least she's the only one that will suffer and I'll save money as I won't need to buy a Kindle Fire or Nexus 7 now.

This, sadly, is now the only course of action I can take.

Damn i only wish either one of my siblings would buy me a new tablet:p. But if you want you can buy me a nexus 7 for xmas:D:p

But it does seem like you have done your best to change her mind, if she doesnt take your advice then it will be her and only her that suffers in the long run.

Shame really as its not nice seeing one of your family members suffer through their own stupidity.

I feel for you. A small part of me dies every time a family member makes a bad tech purchase.

The last piece of tech advice I gave to a family member was: buy a Huawei G300 and get an unlock code from the bay. What did she actually do? She bought the Huawei, tried to pay Vodafone to unlock it, couldn't figure out how to do it, so bought an ancient, dodgy refurbished iPhone from a market stall also. iPhone switched itself off constantly and she didn't understand why

Thankfully that whole mess got sorted eventually. Used up the best part of my Saturday I might add. Sometimes I think it's best to pretend you are as clueless as them most of the time :D

Have you considered buying her the Nexus 7 anyway (NOW).
An letting her play with both products, once they arrive.
Then when she realises the Nexus 7 is both better an financially cheaper in the long term, she may wise up an bring that cheap/crap abomination back to the shop she bought it from.

Just my 2 pence.

Great success! I've finally been able to convince her to send it back. :)

I'll grab her a Kindle Fire instead. Gosh, I'm a nice brother.

You are, thank goodness she got it returned...any issues ie where they difficult with her?

She hasn't yet, but she will. I've told her that I'm not hitting that 'Buy' button until she's returned it.

I just hope she doesn't turn around and complain that a 7" screen is too small!

Show her this thread and how much effort you have put in to make sure she does not get ripped off or get a bad product, she might be faster to take your advice next time.

if i were you i would take her back to the store to sure its done

Kinda hard for him as they both live on opposite sides of the country from what he said earlier on in the thread.

Great success Edrof, glad to see shes come to her senses at last:p

Yep, she's up north and I'm down south.

Out of interest, what's the best 10" tablet for £200 and under at the moment?
