Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Think Diablo/Torchlight/Titan Quest, but FPS instead of isometric hack'n'slash.

It's all about killing bad guys, collecting loot, and then doing it all over again at an increased difficulty.

Blimey 101 hours and still on my Gunzerker - lvl 50 ain't far now! :D

Also what's everyone's highest Critical Hit? Just snagged a whopping 12305K (12 Million!?). Sadly I was laughing too hard to grab a screenshot!
 
Probably going to skip the 5am :P

Powering through now, 44 on Zer0. That respec really helped. Hard leaving so many uncollected quests though!

How the hell? What weapon?

I think the most my lv50 Comando can do it 2.2 million with a 5 x 10k damage sniper and with the turret out and bee shield.

My mates Siren could do 5 million with the same gun as he apparently has a skill that gives 50% critical hit damage on an enemy with full shield or somwthing.
 
great so i'm lvl 50 now finished the main story but my character is bugged, still saying i have to do a story quest but in the log it is finished (common problem when playing co-op) :(

Reaper, extra damage to enemies with over 50% health.

It still pales in comparison to the damage buffs the Gunzerker can get though. Overkill lets you do about +400 or 500% more damage at a max stack and Money Shot at 5/5 (it can go higher with the AR mod...) will do +400% damage (which in this case is multiplicative so you can do 20x more damage than normal). I'm not too sure about the effect of Gun Swaps damage boost or the Titan Mods +Gun Damage effect.

Plus you can **** enemies for double damage :p

With that Skullmasher I wouldn't be surprised if the Gunzerker could do well over 10-20mil.

Some Jakobs sniper rifle with ~7k base damage! :eek:

so I grabbed B2 earlier just installed and it's pretty darn good, but a quick Q : The Season Pass malarkey, does that include all the current DLC out there or has it yet to be released? cheers

I believe it's the 4 campaigns. One is already out and there are another 3 planned. There are other offers, like the mechromancer that was released that aren't included. But its well worth getting as the campaign they just released was almost worth the full season pass price alone IMO.

Also get them codes above banked if you haven't already, for when you get to Sanctuary.

Over all, I'm very disappointed with borderlands 2. Probably my biggest disappointment of the year. That is mainly because I enjoyed the first game so much.
I don't think its really added enough to warrant a sequel and some of the aspects its added I really hate.
This whole shift code ******** is really starting to grate. I want to be rewarded, in game for how I am performing and progressing not If I happen to be up at stupid o'clock glued to twitter waiting to be thrown a bone.
In the first game I received good weapons at what seemed the ideal time but not so with the sequel.
Has anyone received any half decent weapon from any of the red chests?
In borderlands they where hit and miss but they where always something to get excited about but in 2 I have not received one good weapon.
Maybe my disappointment is because I am playing single player and you HAVE to play multiplayer in order to receive loot as its intended. Is this so?
Multiplayer was good but not necessary in the original. Has this changed more for the sequel?

I've played for 120 hours and in that time only recieved ONE rare weapon.
Screamed like a little girl when it happened. :D
I suppose they are rare for a reason and finding makes it all the better for it.
