I actually think Fassbender would suit the villain role more, a dapper english gentleman with a taste for world domination. He also the hair which could be slicked which of course adds merit to the evil persona.

Though I've stated Dalton was the best, I voted for Roger, as he's my favourite.

Brosnan was just too slimey, Craig does a fine job, Connery was great. As for the other fella, well...

Timothy Dalton
Sean Connery
George Lazenby
Roger Moore
Daniel Craig/Pierce Brosnan

close between dalton and connery, but dalton had to try and sort out the mess made by Moore.

Lazenby is next purely because of the way he blagged the role.

Moore cos i just cant separate the rubbish thats craig/brosnan at the bottom of the pile.

shame sir ranaulph had a face like a farmer he might have been interesting :D.

Feel the need to stand up for Dalton.

Was the first 'gritty' Bond and many would say is the most accurate to Fleming's Bond.

Suave, cool but utterly brutal with massive body count.

Easily my fave Bond, closely followed by Craig

Favourite scene - Roger Moore in Live & Let Die when he walks in that backstreet in NY after leaving the Jane Seymore den.

Favourite line - Live & Let Die -- "Can't miss him. It's like following a cue ball." (in Harlem NY)

Just watched Skyfall, 6/10 from me, but I like Daniel Craig - he played part perfectly, otherwise the film is all over the shop

so I think its Roger Moore/Timothy Dalton -- until Daniel Craig goes up in a space rocket to save the ISS (next film hope)

For me, Pierce Brosnan just totally looked the part.

You can tell it's make believe this time around, none of them Bond girls would go for Daniel Craig haha.

  1. Pierce Brosnan
  2. Timothy Dalton
  3. Sean Connery
  4. Roger Moore
  5. Daniel Craig
  6. George Lazenby

Moore for me although looking back he started too late, Id loved to have seen him start ten years earlier on the same movies as View to a kill was more like uncle Bond (which he admitted himself, he was getting too old to be kissing 20 year old women).

Connery was suave and charming but also ice cold due to his bad acting, not on purpose.

Timothy Dalton did nothing wrong, his two movies were just a little too "americanised".

Poor old George. George, George, George... where do I start? He got the single most important scene in all of the JB films (Getting married to Tracy and losing her almost straight away) yet the rest of OHMSS was poetic nonsense, from the hippy flavour to the actual method Kojack, sorry Blofeld, was going to wreak havoc.

Brosnan had to fill the 6 year gap since Daltons efforts and using a witty and slightly more common mannerisms he did the job rightly, cgi didnt do him any favours with some poorly thought out escapes (parachuting over the water from the rocket car thing) was more fake than is normal for a bond movie.

Craig has made a good fist of his movies too, I thought I was really going to hate them but didnt. Casino Royal certainly better than QOS as I cant stand the bad guy, slimy weed who I just cant see getting to the height he commanded in the film.

For what it matters, every bond movie follows the same basic pattern which includes, Bond getting close to a girl who ultimately dies for treachery, the baddy has a side kick which meets a sticky end just before the kingpin meets his demise. It must be hard for whatever guy plays bond as they are pretty much rehashed versions of the same thing. Still love them though.

Got to love the older ones in HD though, the stuntmen were hilarious. Simon Cowell starred as jaws in the plane scene.

They also had Moore snowboarding at the start of that film ffs.

Again though, still glued to the 007 channel.

Timothy Dalton. Played Bond closest to the books.

I think Dalton would fair much better in these polls if people ranked their Bonds in order of preference.

I know lots of people who really rate Dalton - but as maybe #3.

For me :

1 - Connery
2 - Craig
3 - Dalton
4 - Moore
5 - Brosnan
6 - The Other Fellow

Roger Moore (Good memories from when I was a kid)

Pierce Brosnan (excellent in Goldeneye and others except Die Another Day)

Daniel Craig (I think he plays Bond well and getting better at it looking forward to Skyfall)

Timothy Dalton (was good, short lived though should have done more)

Sean Connery (ok, bit of a old farts bond, films are dated)

George Lazenby (Meh, never liked him thank god he only done one film)

Lazenby has to be a joke right? :p My personal preference would be, Moore, Connery, Brosnan, Dalton and Craig. But probably only as the last 2 have starred in the least number of films so I'm not really adapted to them. The scene on Moonraker where Jaws jumps from one cable-car to another is comical.
