Windows 8 Pro - Media Center upgrade pack

Got mine too. Looks identical as far as im aware, not a big user of it though so perhaps the differences are subtle and I wont notice them.
 
Got mine over an hour ago. Took about 5 hours. I guess a huge batch is being e-delivered right about now.
Got me thinking I entered the wrong email address.
 
Well I saw someone post about it ... probably after lunch today. My key arrived about 2 hours ago, so turnaround for me was ~7 hours.
 
I installed my Media Center pack and it broke the internet on my Windows 8 install.. My ethernet icon says I am connected to the internet just fine, however I have no connectivity... I am at a loss on how to fix it?

It was working fine before the update, any ideas?

Tried another reboot?..check in Device Manager see if any problems,last resort reinstall Lan driver?

Tried all the above, the network adapter is still showing no issues yet not one program is using any internet in the task menu... Never seen an issue like this before :/

Worst thing is I can't even try a system refresh because it says some files are missing and it can't download them... :(
 
Ok I have found the issue, apparently it was eset smart security. I had obviously already tried disabling it's firewall and anti-virus systems which didn't work. So instead I tried uninstalling the entire program and as soon as the uninstall finished my internet sparked back into life.

Strange issue as it was working fine before the media center update!

Could be issue with eset and WMC,I never use third party security software on new Windows OS,I remember same thing happened with Vista when users were using XP based security software,Win7 was ok since most Vista Security software was compatible.

I stick with Windows own security for now it just works without issues on Win8.
 
Mine showed up quite quickly, used the same email address a few times and received a few codes :)

Issue is it wont play my dvd's which are stored on my WHS states a suitable codec is not installed?? Any ideas?
 
still havnt revcieved one :( been about 20 hours
if anyone has got a spare code would be greatful. will send back if a email doesnt finial come through
