Please help me
I got my activation code but when i try type add features as described on win8 web site, there is nothing so i can not install WMC. WHY??

Make sure you are using Windows 8 Pro

The add features option is in the control panel (you can gain access to that through the settings option on the charms bar), and you do need windows 8 pro to be able to get the media centre pack.

i do have win 8 pro but still its missing this add feature ?!?!?

Win key + X, select System

It says you are running Windows 8 Pro and that it is activated?

How did you obtain your copy?

When Search opens it searches Apps by default. Type 'add feature' in the search box and then click on 'Settings' just below the search box.

On a fresh w8 pro upgrade installation I moved my public folder to secondary HDD following a MS answers forum post to create a directory junction and cannot now add media center. Been online with microsoft support for about 3 hours but no solution yet. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was thinking of doing the same. Hopefully tier2 support will sort it tomorrow.

After 8+ hours over the weekend with microsoft tech support on phone and remote desktop they were unable to come up with a solution to having the public folder anywhere other than on the system drive :-(
